After logging in, notice your personal links in the upper right corner of any page

Once logged in, in the upper right of any page you should see:

  1. (your username) For example, since Jack is writing this right now, I am logged in and I see Jack as that first personal link
  2. my talk
  3. my preferences
  4. my watchlist
  5. my contributions
  6. logout

First Personal Link: (your username) - link to your profile space

As a logged in user, you should see: (Your username) - Since Jack is writing this right now, I am logged in and I see Jack as that first personal link.

Since my username is Jack, when I'm logged in and click that first link, it takes me to a page titled: User:Jack

For other examples, see Zeitgeist's User page: User:Zeitgeist, Hlaser's User page: User:Hlaser, and Jack's User page: User:Jack

To explore how that link works for you: Make sure you are logged in, then please click that link showing your username and you will be taken to a page titled: User:(yourusername).

Next, once you are at that page, click the Edit tab near the top of the page, and by typing in the Edit box, introduce yourself (while maintaining privacy of your actual identity).

Don't worry about formatting or anything. Just get something in there, so we'll get to know you!

Click the Save button at the bottom of the Edit Box, and you should see your text appear. If you want to correct something, just click the Edit tab again and fix it! It's really THAT simple!

To learn more about formatting your page, use the Cheatsheet.

Second Personal Link: my talk - your blog space within the OrgasmWiki

When you click the my talk link, you will go to a page called User_talk:(yourusername). For example, since I'm logged in as Jack, when I click the my talk link, I go to a page titled: User_talk:Jack

So when you are logged in and click the my talk link you are taken to your personal blog space.

Go ahead and post your questions about your personal practice, and post reports of what you are experiencing, or thought you should be, and we will respond!

Third Personal Link: my preferences

This is where you can set your preferences for a number of things (including different skins to change the appearance of the way the wiki content is displayed!).

Check it out!

Fourth Personal Link: my watchlist

This is a very handy page that gives you a list of all the pages that you have asked the wiki to track changes on for you.

To add a page to your watchlist, just go to the page that you want to monitor, and click the watch tab, located near the top of the article page.

Try it! Once you've clicked that watch tab, you'll notice that it changes to unwatch.

Adding or removing pages from your watchlist is THAT easy!!!

This is GREAT for tracking favorite blogs, articles, etc.

Fifth Personal Link: my contributions

This is another very helpful link, since it will give you a list of all of the pages to which you have added content - whether or not you were the original page author!

After you've added some content to your User page as described above, and add just any ol' thing to your User_talk (blog) page - just as a test - you can always change or delete it - then click that my contributions link and you will see that the wiki has added links to those pages from your my contributions page!

Sixth Personal Link: log out

Pretty self explanatory - just click this link when you no longer want to be logged in to the OrgasmWiki.
