I guess it depends when you consider you are ready Crunkyeah. I 'caressed' from my first session.

Have you re-read the .pdf file you downloaded from Jack's main Multiples site?

...It is something that my body will tell me what to do when the time is right, or should I start that after I first notice echo effects starting to appear?

You may get feedback signals from your body that tell you "Yeah...it's OK go proceed" OR you could try a caress and then see what signals you get back. H'mm?
Some have found it useful to quieten the voice within that says: "Can I feel anything yet?", For the signals you will get back will be - amongst other things - sensations rather than your inner voice; Echo Effects that may be low level or even a little higher. It
may be after that single caress-and-hold you experience one or more delightful momentary surge of pleasure along with that gasp that draws the breath in. Then that's the time to express the Key Sound.
During my early practice, I found it useful to widen my 'focus' when noticing any new signals. Firstly become aware of where your focus is and then widen that sense of focus body-wide. Then
still that inner voice!

A little guidance in this matter would be greatly appreciated

***as a side question that's totally offtopic, does anyone else around here keep a journal to write in and read for reflection? I am curious to know if I'm not alone in this

Before the last major site upgrade, I began a thread here in the Forum's Lounge.
However, If I was to start now, I would
use the 'blog space' to write my journal. Instead, if you want to do that off-line, why not? In any event, I've found it useful to peruse my old entries to see how far I've come.
You raised a valuable point Crunkyeah, which, I'm sure was in the mind of others using the forum - thanks!
All the best,
'Z'
