Default Articulation Question

I just have a couple questions, that I am sure have been asked in some way tons of times, but I didn't have any luck just browsing

1: when I try to do the key sound I often start in a raspy rumble with bits of just air and no sound, especially right at the beginning of the sound, I have a naturally very low voice, I don't sing and almost never yell, im not sure how to fix that to make it smoother, because it is quite distracting.

the reason why I am asking you instead of just manually making a less raspy sound is because when I make the sound alongside your example at the same tone, so should I make it lower than yours, higher? or just general tips on the very beginning of the sound would be great if you're not sure.

2: How much breath/force should you put into it? I read something in a thread about having your throat relaxed as much as possible, should you basically be making the sound as if you are breathing normally, that part seemed kind of vaugue to me in the audio tapes, it seemed you were more referring to general relaxation as opposed to relaxation of the lungs and throat, a little clarity please?

3: I believe that I am getting the second part of the sound the best, but I jsut want to know, because in the very-aroused example of the key sound, it seems like you are forcing the second part of the sound out, or should it always be totally smooth in the connection with the first part of the sound

Thanks in advance
