LOL I just wanted to put down some thoughts and lessons I have learned from the KSMO experience; furballs and things that hold me back from fully relaxing into KSMO if you will.
The KSMO journey is different for everyone ( as different as our varied personalities ) and while I feel mine has been slow, the process ( don't like that word ) has helped me identify blockages/ furballs in my own life. Just recently, after an extended break and being relatively stress free, I was confronted with the sudden onset of stress again. The stress of going back to work after having time off. Now my job is not that stressful but for some reason, knowing that I have a scheduled place to be the next day greats a level of stress in my life. I thought about this while I was off and why I felt this way. I was reminded that while I felt stress in school as a kid and teenager, that stress was limited and was easily set aside, knowing that my life did not depend on my schooling...... not as much as working and paying bills. Still trying to figure out how to resolve this. Any suggestions? In the interest of giving others insight and sharing my ideas, I have listed some of my other stressors that can cause furballs (physical and emotional) and keep me from experiencing KSMO fully. 1. Exercising too hard 2. Not enough sleep 3. Poor diet 4. Too much alcohol or caffeine (affects the nervous system) 5. work 6. Religious/ emotional furballs 7. Not having enough personal space/time to practice

ya stress is sure a killer for me at least
I find that it often has to do with my state of mind I am a college student and I do enjoy college during the times I am doing well, going to class, and getting things done even when I have a lot to get done I am usually able to get it done without having too much stress. During these times I also tend to take better care of myself and I am typically happy with things. Also I tend to feel less of a need for sexual things (ejaculation) however when I slack off in school and life for that matter I find that school and my other responsibilities become much more stressful even if I dont have that much work to get done. I take less care of myself and feel more of a need to have some sort of immediate pleasure more often. The more I fall behind the more I get stressed and the lower the quality of my life. I dont know if this applies to you as well. I dont have experience drinking and I dont take much caffiene as I am pretty sensitive too it, I find it can kill my apetite. maybe try to reduce these things or replace them with other substances that have more of a calming and strengthening effect on the nervous system. In my experience ashwagandha, kava, and magnesium have been very helpful in calming my nerves especially before sleep. As far as excercise goes I think too much or too hard may not be beneficial. I used to be into heavy weightlifting and I found it very taxing on my nervous system. Even If I had early workouts if they were too long I still had trouble sleeping. Turns out excercsing too hard for too long causes the release of a lot of cortisone a stress hormone. Too much cortisone is not the aim of excercise, ideally we want to promote HGH and other beneficial substances such as testosterone. This is why most fitness experts today recommend shorter workouts. Check online there is a huge amount of information in this area and although it is an area where there are a lot of conflicting information it may help you find an excercise program thats best for you. Also diet is very important try to eat food as good as you can, its not easy at times due to price and such but it is worth it in my experience and sleep is priceless to me maybe take naps when you can if you are not able to sleep during the night too much good luck! |

Hey Andrea, thanks for the great advice on ashwagandha and kava, not to mention the insight into working out too hard. I'm just starting to learn about that myself. I definitely need to cut back my workout routine. Thanks again.
