First off I love this technique. I've been practicing while out and about just to get the KS happening- my biggest issue was relaxing the throat and neck and making sure that the sound issued from the right place. But I seem to have that now.
I get a lot of energy from just doing the key sound with the right breathing for 5 minutes. I mean I feel so great that I do it while I'm working (by myself) or watching tv. In the protocol it says to take a day or two off in between sessions, but to be honest I kind of what to do it every day - it just feels great. Would that be counter productive in the long run? Also, my main practice I do lying down in the position, but during the day I also do it sitting up and standing - whatever I happen to be doing at the time. Is this okay? I'm wondering if it will form the wrong associations or anything. |

Hi Mud,
Welcome to the forum. It's getting a bit quiet round here just lately so keep posting your progress and thoughts. >First off I love this technique.< Me too! I'm head-over-heels about it! I think I shall marry it. >I've been practicing while out and about just to get the KS happening- my biggest issue was relaxing the throat and neck and making sure that the sound issued from the right place. But I seem to have that now.< That's good. It's worth spending a bit of time and attention on the Key Sound - long, low, breathy, and deeply interior is what works. But if you want to 'phone Jack for an audio check-up I think he will agree to that. >In the protocol it says to take a day or two off in between sessions, but to be honest I kind of what to do it every day - it just feels great. Would that be counter productive in the long run?< Good question! I'm afraid that I broke the rules right from the start! I was so enthusiastic over the fast early results that I was getting that I hurtled along, stupidly ignoring Jack's 20-min rule, his alternate day rule, and his once in each session-day rule - I was enjoying myself so much! Has that stopped me from achieving the stunning and stupefying MMOs (I've been on the trail for three years) that I currently experience? - No! But I would not advise anybody to copy my own example. I strongly suspect that I would have made faster progress and got to where I currently am a good deal sooner if I had kept properly to the rules. One thing I have found though is that even now, although I'm firmly established on the orgasmic high ground and can get my magnificent MMOs any time, any day, and for as long as I want, I do have some sessions that don't have the same profoundly magical quality as some others. But I know that if I take a day off practice I can guarantee that the next day's session will be truly phenomenal and out of this world and likely to beat any previous one. It seems that the mind and body do need a little time to absorb, recover and re-adjust so I reckon that Jack's alternate days' rule makes a lot of sense and will accelerate your progress if you observe it. >Also, my main practice I do lying down in the position, but during the day I also do it sitting up and standing - whatever I happen to be doing at the time. Is this okay? I'm wondering if it will form the wrong associations or anything.< I'm not hot on the theory of The Protocol but I don't think that there is much wrong with varying positions bearing in mind the need for total passivity and relaxation. Jack will probably react to your question. Good luck and fast progress! Mog |

Hi Mudmage, and welcome!
Very good question, and a very common one... I agree with everything Master Mog has said, except that I would replace the word "rule" with "guideline". ![]() If the method is working for you and you're getting the results you want, then go for it! I would just add though, to supplement Mog's comments, that if you're curious about what might happen if you do take the occasional day off, or at least occasionally follow the guidelines as developed and refined over the last 14 years - well... feel free to explore! Wishing you all the best - and I hope you'll go ahead and start your personal blog by clicking the Blogs link at the right hand side of the top menu bar. Looking forward to hearing more from you... Thanks Mog and Jack. From your experience Mog, it sounds like you've learned what is necessary to get the most from this technique so I'm going to take what you've said and learn from it.
I'm getting some very pleasant waves of energy moving through me the last few days. Very nice indeed and this is what makes this so addictive! I'll post more when I've had some more practice and experiences. |
