hello,
i am wondering if anyone is having similar experiences with their awakening kundalini energy. i have found it increasingly difficult to turn off my 'echo's' when i am trying to find some sleep. over the years of practising, and opening, i have found more and more echo's arrive as i 'relax', in particular as i try to sleep. has anyone had any luck with herbs and supplements or other 'techniques' that help in this area? does one have to relearn how to relax , as relaxation and echo's seem to go together, the one with the other, these days. thankyou |

Yes once the kundalini begins to awaken we encounter what Abraham Maslow referred to as a higher level gripe - that is, a little challenge (in this instance, getting enough rest) accompanying this greater opening of the orgasmic energy channels.
This is also one of the reasons I recommend that people not practice the Multiple Orgasm Trigger Protocol™ in the evenings. I am not an herbalist or a doctor so I cannot prescribe. I can say that I've heard that the herbs lemon balm and valerian may have a calmative, even sedative effect... but herbs may also have contraindications depending on one's specific physical makeup so research them in reliable references before experimenting, and of course doing so is at your own risk. That said, this challenge of how to quiet the awakened energies is also discussed at some length in the Forum. I recommend you use the vBulletin Legacy Search Tool and enter the phrase: "trouble sleeping" in the search box. Be sure to surround the phrase in quotes - always - when using the search or legacy search tools. FYI, there's also a link to the vBulletin Legacy Search Tool just underneath the search box on the default Search Page which link appears on the horizontal menu bar in the Forum. This search will point you to a number of posts, including some chat transcripts, where this issue is discussed. I hope you'll post as a reply to this thread what you discover, and also post links here to any of the other discussions which you found to be helpful. Please keep us informed as to what you discover, and... good luck! I hope you get better rest, soon! Wishing you the very best, Jack |

I have had some similar experiences when i practiced in the early evening hour. I agree with Jack in trying to do your sessions earlier in the day when you have the privacy to practice. I picked up some meditation cds and took up meditative methods like energy medicine and quantum touch- which i use to relax the mind and then the body. That is find a quiet-peaceful place , sit on the floor jsut breathe in and out slowly - letting the tension drain out , relaxing the muscles one at a time . I drink alot of herbal tea - there are many out there that seem to help me to relax after a session. Tao Tea Green Ginger, Calm, Chamomile Bigelow tea Chamomile, Jasmine green tea, decaff. green tea, It just comes down to a kind that really allows you to relax and let go of all that excess energy built up inside. If there is more you'd like to know- just ask away and I'll try and answer in the best way I know how - *smiles take care angus and once again welcome back ... u were missed . with love and light, laly |

thanks laly for your reply. i am grateful for any feedback i can get. it is interesting you mentioning the relaxation thing; that is the irony of my dilemma. it is actually when i find myself relaxing that the echo's usually come on the strongest. needless to say as i start to fall asleep i am becoming more relaxed and therefore... more echo's! before i began practising ksmo relaxing ment just that, relaxing. now i am looking for a way to detatch the kundalini energy from the relaxation mode when i need to sleep. it can present itself any other time! lol. so this is my present task.

When I feel my echos at full strength - the entire room I am in is aglow with vibrating energy and such a vibrance of colors I can see flashing before my eyes, I am constantly amazed and go "OH wow, very cool" and have the BIGGEST grin on my face and my heart engery is wide open at that point. I feel like i am levitating on the wave of energy , floating somewhat. I shudder , weep, and just close my eyes and enjoy this wonderous gift. Right now i can feel that same energy flowing round my heart and can feel the energy cycling throughout my body , a hyper-awareness if you will. I am consciously breathing slowly in and out deeply and releasing slowy. I acknowledge that I am feeling this, but in no way do i 'amp' the feelings as I am at work right now. I do wish you all the best and welcome to see how you work thru this challenge and progress onward. with LOVE & LIGHT, laly |

I hope you can find a non herbal way to relax and fall into a deep sleep - such a Laly has suggested. Have you tried adding a light exercise into your evening routine? Such as, taking an evening walk, or swim? One dietary supplement not mentioned yet is melatonin. It is recommended by Dr Andrew Weil in one of his recent newsletters. I want to caution that Dr Weil advisies melatonin be used in small quantities of 1 1/2 to 3 mg. Here is a link to he "Drug Digest" http://www.drugdigest.org/DD/DVH/HerbsWho/0,3923,4060|Melatonin,00.html Where you might begin your own search. By the way - the link above cites many clinical studies which show melatonin to be controversial for other uses. One of these is Irritable bowel syndrome - years ago, did you once post a query about irritable bowel syndrome? Melatonin has also been shown to delay, and sometimes stop, the spread of specific cancers. As you may know, melatonin is widely reccomended for adjusting to jet lag, and or a night shift work cycle. It is also used for certain blind persons - who can not set their natural sleep cycle - due to an inability to sense light and dark. Please be cautious, as melatonin is a natural hormone which your body already produces, using it to put you to sleep as well as to wake you up. The body turns up melatonin production in the evening as the light wanes. It is helpful to dim lights in the evening, and to shut off the TV a couple hours before bed time. Studies have shown that watching a tv program just before hitting the bed, actually deprives us of certain stages of rem sleep. As the sunlight returns, your eyes especially sense the light but your skin does so as well - and your body cranks down the melatonin, so you will wake up. I sometimes use it on weekends only. And only in small quantities. 1 1/2 mg. Still, i strongly prefer light exercise and yoga to get into a deep sleep. Good luck, Redneck Last edited by redneck; 16th June 2007 at 00:55. |
