Lightbulb How to add html or weblinks in posts

Quote:
I have a question for you sometime. I want to know how to attach an html link to a piece of text in a posted message.
Hi Mog ....to do that -- you need to know the html link you want to insert... if you're already posting an message and need to track that link down:

1. open a 2nd internet browser window and get back into the forum website. Do a search for link/thread you want to quote in the post - in the address window at the top of the browser screen- highlight that and click copy text. For Windows that's Control key + C key, For Mac it's The Apple key + C key. Then go back to browser window that has your reply message in it and click body of message you want link to appear.

2. At the top of the formatting bar - there is a lil blue world ball with a small 2 link chain image under it... that is the HTTP box for inserting html or web links into the posting message box. Highlight the http:// and hit your Control (apple key) + V key -and this will insert your html link into that box and then click the OK radio button.
Your link should appear in the Text box.

I hope this helps and not TOO confusing. If you have any others questions - feel free to pop over to my profile n leave a message there

Thanks for the gen Laly.

I'll try that out tomorrow.

Why does everybody else know how to do that but me?

Mog

Hi Laly - your directions were spot on! You can see that in my previous post which I edited to embody a trial link - which works.

I'll keep a hard copy of your notes.

Many thanks for your assistance.

Nice to see you busy on the chat last night. Good luck with your renewal of your KS practice.

Mog

You are very welcome Mog .

Originally I wrote that 1st post as a reply to your question, but then thought "Heyyyy, maybe others don't know how to do that??
So I created a new thread just for this .

And thanks re: my starting over with KS practice.
