The Aneros Forum has a Glossary and Milestones list, even though everyone has their own unique path or sequence of experiences. Respecting that diversity of experience, I think many of us on Aneros benefit from having the reference points of the Glossary and its definitions, as well as the idea of the range of experiences reported and general sequencing, while noting the range of variation. Anyone else like these possibilities?

Really Great Idea artform! How about you volunteer as Editor and help us spec this out so vbmtor can code it up for us?
Then we can add that link to one of the navbars at the top or an alternative area that you might suggest. How about it? BTW, I'm just finishing write a pretty detailed spec for him for making the Blogs area more navigable... More buttons that clearly say how to do this or that, and adding mouseover text to vague links that actually tell you what they do! AND I'm asking him that when he codes these up to add a tag to the code such as: [html]<usability - mouseover>[function or text]</usability - mouseover> so that when a user learns what stuff does s/he can go into her/his UserCP and turn off that function if s/he doesn't want the mouseovers to appear any more. |

Yes that's a good start. Please make it a Sticky Post if you have the option. When you make the first post to start each of the two threads, before you press the Submit button, scroll down to the Additional Options area, to the bottommost subsection called Thread Management and check the box labeled Stick this thread after you submit your message. That way, vbmtor will be able to see everyone's suggestions and requested entries for the Indices, and configure a separate sub-forum accordingly. I realize we want to keep the number of Subforums to a minimum, but it seems to me that in this case it might be warranted. What do you and others think? Please post your thoughts here! Thanks again for the great ideas and for helping implement them. |

I will try to set these up..., but I got to Additional Options but on my screen it has as section Thread Subscription, but not Thread Management, and it has no option about "Stick this thread...". I have three other boxes of Options: Miscellaneous Options, Attach Files, and Rate Thread.
Could you just set up a new thread with the bold title "Glossary" and mark it sticky to get this started? Then I'll do the next post explaining and beginning the post that I will edit and build the Glossary in using suggestions that others suggest in their own posts and try to ensure we end up with a style of definition the we can all agree is communicative and captures the spirit as well as the technicalities. |

No worries. I guess only the admins (vbmtor and Jack) have rights to stick threads. Makes sense.
Ok here they are now set up! ![]() Keep those Suggestions comin' by posting them to the Suggestion Box, we're all ears! |
