Okay here is a general idea of mine for the website-
please excuse the "crudeness" of the drawing But along the top menu bar-- as you click each word (link) it will open a "new" page for each Item-- ex. clicking Blogs will open the Blogs page, Forum will open the forum page, and so on. As you can see I put the chatbox up there-- in hopes that the new vBulletion format will allow "us" to have a full page chatbox area...not just the 10 line expansion version we currently have...and also maybe a print or save button option too. Down the center of the home page are lil videos that Jack was hoping to implement at some point--in helping new people navigate the forum. Your thoughts, ideas??

Love your work, nothing crude about that....thought you'd got the crayons out for a second!
Have you forgotten the subforum list? Where would that go? The lounge Suggestion box Updates from Jack Members only goodies (which I think we should be able to download audio files like the stories which BTW I have never been able to download ![]() )Sky Last edited by Sky_Walker; 16th December 2009 at 08:50. No I didn't forget those--The lounge and all the forum stufff will be in the page I labeled "Forum" at the top. The Suggestion Box, Updated from Jack, and The Member's Only Goodies could go down in the bottom box area on the left side. Thanks for asking about those. I forgot to include where those would go. The links along the left side--if clicked , open their own individual window pane. I spoke with Jack about this too and he mentioned including a minimize or hide button for the Intro videos in the main page so that once viewed or the individual person doesn't need them anymore can "hide" that box...and un-hide them when he/she/they want to refer back to them.

I'm not so up on the gui stuff, but one suggestion that I'd like to see implemented (if possible) is for the chatbox to expand into a full page of chat - or maybe this is already possible on a PC. But whenever I try to 'expand to full page view' (or whatever that option says), I still only get a partial view, though it's more than the default view. I'd love to be able to see a whole page during chats, specially if I come on late or have to disappear for awhile and then come back later to try and catch up.
Is such a thing possible? |

Fascinating new development!!!
Aneros has just launched the transformed old site into their vBulletin 4.0 version, promising many new features being implemented over time. Familiarity with this version here is already helpful there. The new Aneros site is also a preview of some of the vB4 changes we may feel here!![]() More common ground for we dualists/multiplists anyway! ![]() great fun renewing our communities all artform

Thanks for the heads up about Aneros adopting vBulletin 4.0, artform!
I notice they haven't implemented the CMS (articles) area as yet, as far as I can tell, but looks like the rest is pretty much in place. 4.0 still has a lot of bugs in it however, although most are in the completely new module, the CMS (articles) area. Believe me, we're very excited about installing the software here as well, but we want to give the programmers a little more time to shorten the bugs list (especially of high- and medium-priority bugs) so that we don't drive everybody bananas with software bugs. Patience, grasshoppas!
