Just thought I'd add to this topic after dropping into the chat room earlier made me realise how important this issue is. I was initially very concerned that being on Venlafaxine, an anti-depressant drug quite similar to Prozac, would hamper my ability to experience MMO due to it's manipulation of serotonin and other mental 'functions'. I can safely say that it hasn't, although the sensations I'm experiencing ARE quite similar to the 'waves' of pleasure sometimes felt on anti-depressants, they're so much more powerful if only because I know that they're naturally occurring! If anyone on similar medication is having problems achieving MMO I urge you to keep at it, most likely it is not the medication preventing you from reaching your goal ( I know how tempting it can be to heap blame on these pills ), but rather other factors which, given time, can be resolved and set aside. |
