Default Whole Brain Super Sex', T.D. Lingo, Neil Slade

Dear MMO practitioners,

I am a recent addition to the MMO fold.

The reason for this post is because I (re)found this link a few days ago: http://www.h2net.net/p/nslade/Papers/sex.html The paper describes "Whole Brain Super Sex" as a natural phenomenon that results from proper "use" of the amygdala structures in the brain. The foundation of the approach is based on brain research conducted by T.D. Lingo.

I am not terribly familiar with it on the practical level, but it involves "clicking the amygdala forward" - the amygdala being small parts of the brain inside the temples in both hemispheres. T.D. Lingo and his proteges (Lingo is now dead) claim this releases ESP-type abilities, and creates very happy humans.

"T.D. Lingo's" website, apparently is: http://www.brainbomb.org/. It has 10
free lessons about how to click the amygdala forward. Before you go there check out http://www.h2net.net/p/nslade/Papers/sex.html from Neil Slade's site (Slade is some sort of protege or student of Lingo)
http://www.h2net.net/p/nslade is Slade's home site.

The /Papers/sex.html page describes "whole brain super sex", a result of
"clicking the amygdala forward", as a natural thing to happen to you when you engage in the exercises discovered, apparently, by T.D. Lingo and
practiced/taught by his proteges. From what little I know these are meditative styles of exercise which involve visualizing phenomena in the brain. Once again, I'm not experienced with it, so I'm probably off-base
somewhere.

If anyone has any feedback, comments or experience with Lingo's work and it's relationship with MMO I'd be fascinated to hear about it.

Lionheart

Thanks very much for the post, lionheart, and welcome to the "fold"!

I look forward to reading what you and other community members have say about Lingo et al's work and its relationship to Key Sound Multiple Orgasm!

Best regards,
Jack

WOW - Lionheart, feel you've brought a very exciting and potentially awesome complementary perspective and practice to MMO, see my post "Macro changes from micro intention" in topic "Field Research"

Hi Lionheart,

Thanks for that post. It's really fascinating stuff! I checked 2 of the 3 sites you posted. Unfortunately, the one with the actual sample exercises by T.D. Lingo, www.brainbomb.org is not opening. It only reveals a message of "Your account is no longer active." Any ideas what happened there? Maybe its just my system. Does this site still open for you? Any other suggestions of how I might learn more about these exercises? Thanks again for this interesting tid bit.

I recently came across an article regarding the functions of the amygdala. I found the following section especially interesting as it seems to apply to Jack's system.

The link for the entire article is:

http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/pleasure.html

>The amygdala has an interesting function in >this respect in the fact that it is the >amygdala that processes a wide range of >emotional "language". This language >involves the 'sounds' of emotion, such as >the squeals of delight, the sound that goes >with crying, rage, happiness and that high >pitched shriek that happens along with a >true phobic response.

>This provides another consideration when >working with a phobia cure, and things >might be helped along a bit by maneuvering >the client into making a pleasant emotional >sound - this will further elicit a positive >response from the amygdala along with >whatever pleasant anchor the NLPer has >triggered.

Since the "Whole Brain Super Sex," technique described by Neil Slade is based on, "amygdala clicking," this leaves me to wonder if perhaps Key Sound Multiple Orgasm has the, "side effect," of clicking the amygdala indirectly through the Key Sound. Hmmm...
Well, at some point in the future I hope to actually purchase Neil Slade's books and try some of these amygdala clicking exercises to see how they compare with Jack's system. Something tells me they are quite similar in their results, if not methods.
If anyone has tried these exercises, I'd love to hear about them.

Pan :-)

Saw this a while back as a Yahoo news item...

Western Science Confirms Eastern Spirituality

by Robert C. Felix***** ***

Recently, Western science has finally begun to confirm what the
wisdom traditions of the Orient have known for millennia: that
meditation practice literally and physically improves your brain
behavior.

Robert Felix, author of The Partners Within, has been educating on
the healing power of prayer and meditation to overcome
destructive emotions for the last decade. Now several scientific
studies are converging to confirm this idea. As recently reported in
the Wall Street Journal Science column (1/10/2003), studies at the
University of Wisconsin confirmed that "meditation, Buddhist or
otherwise, might change the brain and, in particular, its emotional
circuitry."

The focus of these studies was on the brain structure called the
amygdala. "A little almond-shaped center deep in the brain, the
amygdala is involved in such negative emotions as fear, anger,
anxiety and depression." This emotional center needs to be
modulated by the prefrontal cortex; when it is not, its negative
emotions can snowball into destructive behavior patterns. The
psychiatric community commonly treats these poor states of mental
health with neuroplastic drugs such as seratonin uptake inhibitors
(Prozac and Zoloft etc.) with mixed success.

But now, clinical studies are suggesting, "Meditation strengthens
connections between the prefrontal cortex and the amygdala.
Inhibitory signals from the prefrontal cortex appear to rein in the
amygdala like a good yank on a kite string. The stronger or more
numerous those 'stop firing!' signals, the stronger the inhibition."
Indeed, "it appears that the inhibitory signal reaching the
amygdala can be modulated voluntarily," says Prof. Richard
Davidson.

Most importantly: "The plasticity of connections between the
thinking and feeling regions of the brain casts doubt on the belief
that each of us has a 'set point' for happiness, and that neither a
Powerball win nor a Sept. 11 tragedy budges it for long. If
inhibitory connections between the frontal lobes and the amygdala
can be strengthened in an enduring way, then perhaps you can
voluntarily shift that point."

Increasing our capacities for happiness, fulfillment and for
actualizing our own unique human and higher powers.

Hey Pan thanks for that link I think it would be pretty cool to get Neil's thoughts on the key sound!

The story about how Lingo bought his mountain is a good read btw.

Mike, cheers for the article, I must admit I don't know exactly what is meant by "seratonin uptake inhibitors" or the use of the word inhibitor in general?

Any thoughts on that guys?

Hey Guys,

I'm not familiar with the term, "seratonin uptake inhibitors," either.
However, I do know that Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, and nearly all anti-depressant medications which affect serotonin levels in the brain, are classified as MAOI's or Mono-Amino Oxidase Inhibitors. MAOI's reduce the production of Mono-Amino Oxidase in the brain which breaks down serotonin levels before they reach serotonin receptor sites.
It's been quite awhile since I've done any research on the brain in earnest, so I can't recall at the moment what exactly MAO is, an amino acid? an enzyme? I completely forgot. But I do recall that it's a naturally occurring substance which breaks down produced serotonin before the brain can make use of it. If your brain produces Mono-Amino Oxidase too much or too quickly, it limits the degree to which you can feel good (happy, pleasurable, etc.) So MAOI's simply allow more of the serotonin in your brain to reach it's destination, by limiting the amount of MAO produced.
I hope that helps clear things up a bit.

:-)

Cheers guys!

I reckon I'll be doing a lot more research on this when Andi & I get back from Amsterdam.
Neil's site also links to a really fascinating site http://www.viewzone.com/

Bit of a fortean times style site (Charles Forte, 19th century english compiler of bizarre & unusual facts who coined the term "for every expert there is an equal & opposite expert") - I'm supposed to be packing & I just can't leave the site alone for a minute

Anyhoo I know I'm a bit off topic here but it's such a cool way to spend an evening (or 10) & I owe the link to Pan!

Like thanks scoob! I think I'm excited - first holiday since Washington DC in august 2000, gonna chill to the max - need to as well

I'll definitely be meditating on the amygdala, I think one really pertinent link with key sound practice is the idea of taking a joyful approach to the practice, I know that since I became snowed under with work 3 months ago I've definitely been far too much into a "lab conditions" state during my sporadic practice. Roll on september & a much lighter load for a few months.

Look forward to chatting with you guys soon.

Phil

Ok I ordered Neil's first book.
I'll let you guys know when it arrives & how valuable it feels.

I found a newsgroup posting by Neil re the brainbomb site, he said Lingo posted it not long before he died in 93 & reckons it was a substandard site btw.
