Default Chatbox Transcript 28th December 2008

Session start: Sun Dec 21 00:02:06 2008
Jack> Latest chat transcript is available here : Multiple Orgasm Trigger(tm) Discussion ChatBox Transcript of 20081220
Jack> Best Wishes for the Season, however you like to celebrate it!
zeitgeist> Amen to that!
Jack> ***** Welcome to the Multiple Orgasm Trigger™ Training and Discussion Chat of 20081227 hosted personally by Jack Johnston MA
Jack> Hi Mog, Happy Holly Days!
rumel> Good morning Jack & Grandmaster mog
Jack> Hi Rumel - Happy Holly Days!
rumel> I hope the Holly Daze ar going well for you both
rumel> Jack, I was sorry to hear about the problems you are having with the Joomla interface.
Jack> Thanks! It's been splendid here - with a few cm of snow... cozy. I hope it's going well for you too!
Jack> Thanks very much re: the interface aka the Bridge Over the River Joomla. :D
rumel> I wish I had some constructive advice or tips I could share but, alas, I don't have that kind of expertise.
Jack> Yeah neither do I! I'm learning as I go.
Jack> My expertise lies with discovering and teaching KSMO. :)
rumel> The weather here in CA. is a cool 42 d. F.
Jack> NorCal or SoCal?
rumel> Sacramento.
Jack> Sacto!
rumel> Sack-a-tomato, :)
Jack> Yeah... So... you like it HOT, do you?
Jack> It's like the whole valley is a hot house. Perfect for ag.
Jack> Do you get to the River much?
Jack> Sierras?
rumel> I can tolerate the heat but the nicest part of the year are the warm summer evenings.
Jack> Ah no DOUBT!
Jack> Do you have cicadas at night in the summer?
rumel> I do love the mountains, I'm not much of a water person.
Jack> More Air than Water?
rumel> No, cicadas, but a nice cricket crop.
Jack> Bummer! That's really hard on the crops.
rumel> I think being a virgo means I'm an earth sign, tied closely to Gaia.
Jack> Yeah I can relate, as a Taurean Earth.
rumel> Actually I don't think the crickets are much of a problem to the farmers here.
Jack> Oh that's a relief to hear. For some farmers they are literally the plague.
rumel> They have never been a problem in my backyard garden.
Jack> That's a blessing! Are you growing food as well as decoratives?
rumel> I'm not sure if their diet include much new plant material. We just grow for food, mainly for salads, a small garden.
Jack> Sounds sweet!
rumel> Cucumbers, bell peppers, lettuce, zucchini, tomatos
Jack> We live in a somewhat higher-density sub-urban village and I'm into lobbying the Township to preserve open space for community gardens.
rumel> Simple to grow veggies only!
Jack> Definitely!
rumel> Community gardens are an excellent way for people to interact on a fundamentally common psychic level.
rumel> A sharing experience of the life process.
Jack> Absolutely! And for face to face community bonding which in these times is vitally important, imho.
Jack> Developing local co-operative food sources is prudent, methinks.
Jack> Do you have pretty good access to water?
rumel> Yes, it (the gardening experience) can be a strong social network builder.
rumel> Yes re: access to water, but for what purpose do you ask?
Jack> The oldest or nearly oldest form of social organization.
Jack> RE: water... your area of course is a huge breadbasket, provided you have access to the water. :)
rumel> True civilization evolved through the development of agrarian societies.
Jack> Yep, once folks settled down and learned to work together instead of against one another.
rumel> Sacramento is at the confluence of the Sacramento and American Rivers.
Jack> Yes... VERY BIG CHI confluence!
Jack> BTW, I've been drumming my fingers on the desk a bit, waiting for the OTHER magic software bridge between vBulletin and Joomla templates.
Jack> ...since the first one didn't work out. :(
Jack> Seems like people are generally more optimistic about this other provider, JFusion.
Jack> It's all kinda gobbledy gook to me, but it's a means.
rumel> I'm a little surprised nobody else is here with us this morning. How much flexibility is there in the current software to affect layout?
Jack> RE: Nobody else here... It's still a holiday weekend, but I still wanted to be here for anyone who wanted to be here as well.
Jack> RE: layout flexibility. As I understand how it works, there can actually be quite a bit of layout flexibility!
rumel> Personally, I am not convinced you need to change the software much, I think it just needs to be explained better. You previous idea of creating a site tutorial, I thought was a good one.
Jack> Good!
Jack> And I still have your suggestions, and am looking forward to responding to them.
rumel> I can appreciate the power of this site, but it is difficult to figure out how to exploit it without some guidance.
Jack> Exactly!
Jack> Video is one way. Some believe that giving people with differing cognitive styles, a variety of options for viewing
rumel> I think a well written tutorial would go a long way to making this an a better, more user friendly site.
Jack> The suggestions you made, formed a great outline. How about fleshing it out?
rumel> Yes video is one way and a printable text explaining things would help too.
Jack> As I understand Joomla, what it does is give the users of varying degrees of technical aptitude and cognitive style, different ways of interacting with the other community members and the information, including the archives since 1997.
rumel> I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "flehing it out".
rumel> oops ...fleshing..."
Jack> I guess what I mean is answering the questions you posed.
Jack> The main appeal of Joomla for me is that it can make handling the information archived and newly generated at this site
Jack> accessible to a wide variety of audiences. For example, the layout that cancuck75 proposed may or may not work for you. And, as you say, the way things are is just fine. You shall still have that option.
rumel> Well, if I knew how the program worked and the parameters of what was possible to accomplish within those parameters, I could offer more specific solutions, but then I have no way of knowing if they would really help anyone else.
Jack> I agree you'd have no way of knowing in advance, but that's why they call it research. :)
Jack> RE: How the program works... the site will include files that are templates,
Jack> that let you have some choice in how you want to view information... like you expressed in that outline.
rumel> Since I'm such a visually oriented person I really appreciate information presented in a graphically coherent manner, so that I take quickly take in the relevant info.
Jack> That's great! My question for you is how can you visually represent what you've come to understand so far about
Jack> the Multiple Orgasm Trigger... the Key Sound and why and how it does what it does... and most importantly how to practice it to enjoy the benefits others are describing.
rumel> I am not looking as much to have differing views of the info, as I am in having the view readily accessible. Whoa that second one is a biggee!
Jack> Which "second one"?
rumel> Conveying such information as that in a purely visual format is what great art does!
rumel> and what great literature does!
Jack> RE: You're not looking for differing views... but just one that is readily accessible. I say: Precisely and there will be a certain number of other site visitors who will tend to share your definition of what readily accessible looks like.
Jack> Yet there are likely to be others who prefer to organize the information differently. By making different templates available, this gives our user community a choice.
rumel> For example, this section of the site, the Chat Box area, I think there is too much verbiage.
rumel> It is visually distracting to me to be seeing all the text there all the time.
Jack> Yeah makes sense. It takes energy to keep looking PAST stuff to get to the stuff you're looking for.
rumel> Many of these items refer to elements that are only used or accessed occasionally, so why be present all the time?
rumel> Exactly, Couldn't these things be grouped into a button/link titled "Options" that a user could then go to?
Jack> Please make a sketch of the page the way you want to see it. Every button, field, etc. and I'll see if we can make it one of the template options. I think we can, and this will be a good way to test the system.
rumel> The options box might then contain link buttons to "Archives", "Time Requests", "Blogs" "Help", etc.
Jack> Yes that sounds very good! Basically what Joomla is supposed to give us, as I understand it,
Jack> is a way for you to spec out the layout YOU want to see. We can even call it RumelsLayout or RumelYYMMDD. And ... again this is my understanding of Joomla as a NOVICE... we can attach that template design to the LAYOUT tab that will appear on the site's main page. You can click on the Layout tab, then Rumel081228 and you will see the Forum and Blog data offered to you in the way you want to see it.
Jack> And if you have designed the page the way that really does work best for you, there's a good chance that other community members
rumel> While I am all for diversity and choices, if it becomes more frustrating to try to accomplish a whimsical layout, is it really worth the effort?
Jack> may find it just as usable to them. They may choose RumelYYMMDD as THEIR preferred layout, by clicking the Layout tab and the RumelYYMMDD choice and suddenly the data will display in that manner.
Jack> Well I don't know what you mean by whimsical. Some people may prefer whimsical.
Jack> I'm not going to try to guess that though.
Jack> If somebody wants whimsical they can show me what they mean
Jack> and we can maybe modify a template to give them what they want.
Jack> Like I say, if everyone else wants RumelYYMMDD that's great!
Jack> It can be voted the DEFAULT choice... or actually, Joomla I think will remember what your choice is
Jack> so that the next time you come to the site, you'll see the page(s) through the template(s) you have chosen.
Jack> I'm not talking about having 300 or even 30 different templates.
Jack> But I think there could easily be a half-dozen different ways people might prefer to view some stuff and NEVER other stuff, etc.
Jack> Anyway... however much or little the Joomla flexibility actually gets used or is valued,
rumel> I don't mind working within the framework of someone elses layout as long as I can use it without being confused or distracted. When I say "whimsical" her I mean as an arbtrary choice that is subject to change on an individuals whim.
Jack> it will make the site a lot easier to administer... and that means having more hours and energy to offer more.
Jack> Once a template has been defined, and has been identified as being used by someone,
Jack> if they didn't want any further changes in it, I assume they can clone the template and give it a unique name and it'll always
Jack> come up that way when they log in.
Jack> I think this is how the system can work. I am still learning about it.
Jack> Do you have a way of faxing a page layout sketch to me?
Jack> You can show me PRECISELY what you want. Perhaps basing it on those notes you posted about what you want it to include.
rumel> Yes I have faxing capability.
rumel> You have my email address you can email me your fax number so I can send you something at a later time.
Jack> perfect - Thanks!
Jack> fax number has been sent
rumel> OK, Jack, I'll give it some further thought this coming week.
Jack> K, thanks! After clement gets passed the holly daze, we're going
Jack> to take a crack at installing the Joomla system, and try to sync it vBulletin. That's the critical link.
Jack> That will give us the ability for you and others to view Forum content in a way that is most productive for you.
Jack> AND for you to have a direct say in how that is best accomplished.
Jack> Is there anything else you'd care to discuss today? Any questions re: practice I may answer?
rumel> Not today, thank you, I haven't been practicing much lately due to the holiday activities.
Jack> Ok, well thanks for your input today, and for stopping by.
Jack> I hope you and yours continue to have a wonder-full holly day season, and New Year!
rumel> I am not having any problems per se, just slow progress.
rumel> I wish you the same Jack.
Jack> What progress are you aware of?
Jack> Thanks re: wishes. :)
rumel> I have become aware of small incremental incidences of echo effects.
Jack> When do these occur, typically?
rumel> Mainly small bursts of muscle tremors at various locations of my body, they usually occur while doing non physical activities.
rumel> Like watching TV or sitting at the computer doing things.
Jack> It's always been very intriguing to me that these early awakening Echo Effects so often tend to happen when we least expect them to. After all of these years (since 1991), I continue to be amazed by that fact.
rumel> Well it is true they are unexpected.
rumel> Sometimes so unexpected, they startle one.
Jack> Yeah, that's a very consistent theme throughout most (if not virtually all) of our community over the years since 1991.
Jack> RE: Startle... Yes that's right!
Jack> OMG what was THAT!!!
Jack> Doing the practice really is like gardening...
Jack> The harvest doesn't occur when you're watering the plants. You water and care for the plants, and then
Jack> one day you're walking in the field and you start noticing the buds.
anerosmith> Hi there Jack
Jack> Then you might be pleased to notice a little relief at real-eye-zing that nature IS taking its course.
anerosmith> and Rumel
Jack> Hi Anerosmith, Welcome! Happy Holly Days!
rumel> Hi anerosmith
anerosmith> Thanks Jack.Hope you had a good Christmas
rumel> Jack the gardening is a good metaphor on a number of levels.
Jack> Yes thanks, still am enjoying the Yuletide. :)
Jack> Great, rumel re: gardening. I'm very glad that resonates for you too. What ways and levels occur to you?
Jack> anerosmith, at the moment we're talking about that curious pattern of how often the early Echo Effects™ - especially - tend to occur when we may least expect them to.
rumel> Learning to be patient, learning to allow the process, learning to nurture the process.
Jack> Yes to all of the above, rumel!
rumel> Learning to marvel at the process of growth.
Jack> AND THE KNOWING that by following that process, you TRUST that there will be some harvest.
Jack> Trusting that Life Force.
anerosmith> I guess I have a way to go then. They only seem to occur when I start off the process with the key sound:cool:
rumel> also learning that there are little nasties who come to steal your efforts away.
rumel> Crop failures are part of the process of accepting setbacks as well.
Jack> rumel... ah you've encountered the harpies!
rumel> everyone is suseptable to the Harpies and the Sirens.
rumel> It is all part of being alive!
rumel> and being human.
Jack> Yes I agree wholeheartedly, rumel!
Jack> anerosmith... As I review your pre-flight checklist, I notice an unchecked box next to: Post an .mp3 sample of your Key Sound™ articulation to the Free Validation Area.
Jack> ;)
anerosmith> Yeah,I have progressed really fast and can now have MMOs without the sound. So I guess I'm doing it right then:)
Jack> rumel... re: little nasties that steal your efforts away... are you referring to Emotional Furballs or life challenges or? (Feel free NOT to answer any question I ever ask you).
Jack> Anerosmith, sounds like maybe you are! What's it like for you? How is it different than what you might have ever experienced before?
anerosmith> Jack-still feel that the echoes I get when I do use the sound are really intense and set things off on the right footing
rumel> Life challenges, which I think include Emotional Furballs, encountering the unexpected and dealaing with the circumstances.
rumel> ...dealing...
rumel> that was an interesting little gift regarding my tendency to procrastinate.
Jack> anerosmith, that sounds like you're using the Key Sound™ exactly as intended - to OPEN the responses... to Trigger them (as in Multiple Orgasm Trigger! ;) )
rumel> ...dealaing...= delaying?
Jack> rumel I'm REALLY glad you instantly noticed that gift!
Jack> Your being open to that level of communication from your subconscious guides is a HUGE BOOST FORWARD and UPWARD imho! :)
anerosmith> Jack-yes ,I am grateful to you and to Mog for pointing me on to this joyful path of "all return"
Jack> slips imho is a pejorative term that discounts the value of these important messages. I'm glad you value them!
Jack> That's how to get MORE!
rumel> Thanks, better to keep going forward, keeps making the Harpeis work harder to catch you.
Jack> :) < anerosmith re: points of all return!
Jack> RE: Running from the harpies... one thing I'm planning on introducing to this community in 2009 is the work I've been doing since the 70's with dreams. In that shamanic practice, I can teach you how to turn and face the harpies
Jack> and trance form them into allies.
rumel> Very cool, shades of Don Juan Mateus?
Jack> Yes, very analogous, with a few Ericksonian twists.
Jack> BTW, some people say that Don Juan is modeled after Milton Erickson.
rumel> OOOh, that's even better
Jack> Yes I see that, Mr. Purple Text.
rumel> I hadn't heard that before.
rumel> Yes, purple for deep passion.
Jack> You know about MHE's color blindness - or shall we say color selectivity?
rumel> No, I know very little about Mr. Erickson.
Jack> He was entirely color blind - the world was all subtle tones and shades of gray - except for purple.
Jack> He could see purple. ONLY purple.
rumel> How curious.
Jack> And he liked to say, with a devilish grin... But I can enjoy purple!
rumel> I myself have a little red/green deficiency a very common male trait.
anerosmith> Ive got to go now guys:Nice cahtting to you.Have a great New Year!
rumel> You too A!
Jack> Hey you too, anerosmith! Thanks for your check in today. I'm glad those Echoes are Speaking to you!
Jack> Well that's about a wrap for this chat, unless there are any loose ends.
rumel> Ok thanks for the chat Jack, I'll get you a sketch of some of my thinking re: site layout next week.
Jack> Anything else I might answer or you'd like to share, rumel?
rumel> Have a good New Year.
Jack> That's great rumel, thanks! I'm hoping we can put these into place using the Joomla templates system! It'll be great to be able to view the content through different windows and user points of view!
Jack> You too, rumel, thanks. All the best. Here's to a Light-Fully Multi-Orgasmic New Year!
rumel> It will be interesting, I'm sure.

A great chat - and thanks for the seasonal good wishes, fellahs!

I wish you all for the new year truckloads of MMOs, Super Os, Hyper-Os and satisfactory quantities of any other kind of O that you might desire. But take care!
