Laly> hi cumulonimbus
cumulonimbus> hi Laly!
Laly> How are you today?
cumulonimbus> terrific! yourself?
Laly> am good
Laly> getting good energy vibes anyway :)
cumulonimbus> hey, me too!
cumulonimbus> is this the right spot for the scheduled chat?
Laly> yes -- in 50 minutes
Laly> how is your practice going?
cumulonimbus> cool. I'll check back in a bit
Laly> ok
cumulonimbus> Amazing. You know, I have you to thank in part for getting me turned on to KSMO. I did a lot of reading in the forums here before I signed up, and some of your posts have been a great help!
Laly> aww thanks
Laly> You will find me one of the most forthright and honest about my KSMO experiences
Laly> hi Master Mog :)
cumulonimbus> hey Mog
cumulonimbus> Laly: And it's sincerely appreciated!
Laly> *beems with happiness
Laly> then what I set out to do-- help others ...is being achieved
Laly> Hi Valentine n Jack
Jack> ***** Welcome to the Multiple Orgasm Trigger(tm) Training and Discussion Chat hosted personally by Jack Johnston MA 20080607
Valentine> Hi
Jack> Hi Laly, Valentine, Mog, and Cumulonimbus!
Jack> How are each of you today / evening?
Laly> <in tears (good ones tho)
Valentine> stressed
Valentine> I'll trade with laly though!!
Jack> No need to trade, Val... there's plenty to go around!
Jack> ;)
Jack> That is certainly one thing that this practice teaches us!
Valentine> Now I'm smiling. :D
Laly> yes-- but will send loving energy if you'd like Valnetine
Valentine> free stuff is always good!
Jack> GREAT! :D How about we revisit the old tradition, for newbies who might read this transcript, of each of you giving a brief introduction of yourself, where you're typing from (generally), age if you're ok with that, and a brief history and summary of your experience with this practice?
Laly> who wants to start??
Valentine> I will. Me me me!!
Jack> Attaboy!
Valentine> CA, 24, practicing for a few months
Valentine> um, had lots of really good progress
Valentine> that's it.
Valentine> (sorry, mind is very much occupied with other things ATM)
Laly> OH, 37,, female, been praticing KSMO for lil over 3 years now...and even now
Laly> still experiencing new things with my practice.
Jack> c-nimbus, do you care to check in and chat?
cumulonimbus> Hi all! Cumulonimbus (Qmlo) from Chicago, 35, M, been playing with KSMO for a year or so. Thought I'd sit in on a session since I haven't done so before.
Jack> Hey that's great! Now you're no longer a virgin! :-)
Jack> Welcome!
Laly> *blushes
cumulonimbus> heh
Valentine> I got questions
Jack> Qmlo, traditionally, we like to ask the newbies to take the Talking Stick first so we can get to know you better and help you however we can. Although I see that Val has some questions.
Jack> Who'd like to go first? Everybody gets a chance - all you want (that THEME again, Val, btw!) ;)
cumulonimbus> please go ahead, Valentine
Laly> i can wait
Jack> Thanks Qmlo! You have the Talking Stick Mr. Val!
Valentine> I am currently researching some qigong, and was wondering if anyone has had experiences like artform, i.e. his shooting energy out his penis
Valentine> not to be confused with ejaculating
Laly> (wrong sex for that for me, but yes I have-from head and hands)
Jack> Yes I know at least two who reported this in past times... Pan, and I... What's your experience been in that regard, Val? And Laly, when you have the Talking Stick it'll be great to hear you share about these kinds of experiences from the female point of view!
Valentine> I think I have a small blurb blogged on it, and that is it, really. Let me check for a link real quick.
Valentine> go ahead, Laly, while I look. :)
cumulonimbus> I think Pan may have been the one who mentioned the book "Sexual Energy Ecstacy"... a fantastic book with lots of really useful stuff, including tips for directing that sexual energy.
Laly> (hi lopez)
Lopez> ()
Jack> G'day Lopez!
Valentine> http://www.multiples.com/howtolastlo...65-im-so-beefy
Lopez> Just thought I'd check in before hitting my snooze buttone
Valentine> that's the one blog where I mention that experience
Valentine> HI LOPEZ!!
Jack> Yes Qmlo, that's a very good book, and was quite helpful to me in the early days as I was seeking discovery of the fully orgasmic response without using squeeze techniques or other brinkmanship.
Lopez> Valentino!
Jack> Hey folks if Lopez needs to get some z's perhaps we could toss him the Talking Stick briefly for a wee checkin... of course Lopez, I hope we'll see you at chat number two at 0200 GMT Sunday. That's scheduled to make it easier for the likes of you! :)
Valentine> go for it
Lopez> I'll be on later today ;)
Lopez> I had a feeling Valentino would be on.. and "seeing" him has made my day *blush*
Jack> RE: Sexual Energy Ecstasy, author David Ramsdale, in his latest book, Red Hot Tantra, had very nice things to say about my discovery of the Multiple Orgasm Trigger, BTW.
cumulonimbus> Ooh, new book to check out, thanks! And really cool that you got a mention!
Jack> Yes David has been very supportive of my work from the earliest days.
Jack> Glad to hear we'll be hearing more from you today, Lopez!
Jack> BTW I also speak about in effect ejaculating the accumulating arousal energy through the Key Sound, as an alternative to the literal ejaculation which tends to dissipate arousal.
Laly> (hi Ageless- welcome)
Valentine> This is actually where I was going to lead to. Because of the erratic nature of the KSMO, is it possible to intentionally direct the energy out a certain way? i.e. out the penis, out a chakra, etc
Jack> Warm Welcome to Newbie -
Jack> Ageless!
Valentine> and is this intentionallity only viable to adepts and/or others trained in energy movement such as qi gong?
Jack> What's your hunch, Val?
Jack> (re: is it possible)
Valentine> haha, of course!!
Valentine> I guess I want to ask you specifically, do you just let the KSMO do its thing, or you do you sometimes direct the sexual energy out certain way?
Jack> Also, I do need to take issue with your characterization of KSMO being erratic. One's personal experience of it may seem that way, but it is inherently quite consistent in its results when practiced correctly. The biggest challenge to that kind of consistency is often people's hesitancy about taking full advantage of all of the help I offer in developing effective practice patterns...
Laly> ask who>> val?
cumulonimbus> Valentine: Yes, definitely! In a highly aroused state, I think you become very suggestable and can direct the energy in very specific and even humorous ways (e.g. having an orgasm in your little finger.)
Jack> Well said Qmlo! I agree!
Laly> As do I
Jack> For persons concerned about personally experiencing erratic results I recommend you use our Google site search tool on the phrase at will. Be sure to place the phrase "in quotes" when searching.
Valentine> sorry, I didn't have a better word than erratic.
Jack> It's ok Val, by your mentioning that, it gives us a chance to help you move your practice forward,
Jack> by alerting you to a possible cognitive hindrance.
cumulonimbus> You may be referring to the intriguing fact that sex is never the same twice, which is part of its delight. You control the inputs, but the outputs can catch you by surprise!
Jack> If you are having a tendency to think about KSMO as being erratic in its results by nature, then it can become a hindrance to transcending - i.e. trance ending - that frame of reference.
Jack> That's what these chats are for! To help you identify these kinds of bumps in the road and to alert you to them. It's really difficult for almost anyone to identify these kinds of little pitfalls in their own thinking ;)
Jack> Yep I sure tend to agree with that, Qmlo! And thanks for the elegant reframe! :D
Valentine> Thanks!
Jack> FYI - David's mention of my work: in Chapter 7 he describes in detail an energy orgasm which lasts for 20 minutes and then explains how to do it. He also mentions that KSMO is the best way to learn how, whether you are a man or a woman. You might wanna check it out!
Jack> You're quite welcome!
Jack> I'd also like to mention if I may...
Jack> That usually if someone is not getting the results they expect, it is often because (and this stated as observation, and not as blame!) that
Jack> they may not have taken full advantage of the complete array of assistance I offer in learning the method.
Jack> The most efficient way of learning this method is a combination of practice, posting to the Forum and the Blogs, participation in these chats, AND getting personal help from me (while I'm still available - I'm 60 now -) to sort out the various cognitive issues and practical issues such as effective articulation of the Key
Jack> Sound, etc. This learning system was designed to include all of those components for the most efficient approach to learning to access consistent effects.
Laly> For me,, it has been a true blessing-- all of it :).
Jack> It's quite true that often people can become consistently Adept in eliciting results, but when those results don't seem to be happening, it's a good idea to review which of the components of practice I just enumerated have not been taken full advantage of.
cumulonimbus> I agree, Laly!
Jack> That's really great to hear, Laly and Qmlo!
Jack> And Val, please understand my point of view on this - which I quote from the I Ching (with a little tweak):
Jack> No Blame. Perseverance Furthers. (with a little help from your friends here, including from Jack!)
Jack> ;)
cumulonimbus> Yep, return to the fundamentals... it's so true. Especially when you're already having great results and then hit a wall (er, gate!)
Jack> LOL - yeah, Qmlo... GATE! You got it! :)
Jack> In fact, that's a great example right there of an on the spot cognitive reframe!
Jack> Notice how right in the moment Qmlo said wall then instantly reframed it as Gate! Developing THAT cognitive pattern of on the spot reframing is a VERY BIG step forward!
Jack> As I'm sure each of you can readily become aware of, there is definitely an emotional shift from self-talk describing an experience as a wall to describing it as a Gate! :)
artform> Great discussion and book references!
Laly> (hi artform)
artform> hi laly!
artform> hi all
Jack> That shift in itself is a very good on the spot example, in fact of how you learn to open these Gates along the path to consistent results!
Jack> Welcome artform!
Valentine> hi artform
Jack> Does that make sense to you, Val?
Valentine> yes
artform> Hi Jack and Val!
Jack> That's GREAT, Val!
Jack> Take a moment if you would and remember back to how you were feeling when you used the word erratic in describing the results of your practice...
Valentine> confused
Jack> Then tune in to how you felt when you realized - i.e., real eyes'd - (saw more clearly) - that erratic is not an inherent characteristic of KSMO, but a helpful guide to alert you to that challenge between the ears that we often talk about!
Jack> RE: feeling confused...
Jack> This is yet another opportunity for reframing!
Jack> Remember the Chinese character for Crisis is also for Opportunity! I really love that wisdom and guidepost in one of the oldest languages in the world!
Valentine> less thinking, more feeling, eh?
Jack> What we label confusion is the activity of your intellect racing to find a new frame when the former one is not serving!
Jack> Well in a sense, it may be less thinking and more feeling... AND it is also the opportunity to think differently about the experience your having and the experiences you may not yet be having!
cumulonimbus> Valentine: Oh yes. And remember that feeling part especially... the fundamental I need to keep reminding myself of is to LISTEN to my body's feedback (echoes). The smallest new sensation can be the start of a whole new adventure.
artform> Hear, here! More aural than visual...
Jack> When I say that the greater challenges to learning this skill are not between the legs, but rather between the ears (i.e. cognitive) - I'm not kidding! ;)
Jack> Oh Qmlo that is a GREAT statement!
Jack> Where you said The smallest new sensation can be the start of a whole new adventure!
Jack> That principle is a life preserver and a very bright light in guiding you through your practice!
Jack> Lol artform... Yes, Hear HERE! :D
Valentine> Could I get artform's comments on my question, or his experience?
Jack> It's also a sometimes tricky balance between overthinking an experience and allowing yourself to feel it - and to let your feelings be your guide, as Qmlo mentions.
Jack> When I wrote that just about its being a tricky balance, I remembered the scene where Carlos Casteneda first met Don Juan's cohort, Don Genaro...
Jack> Don Genaro climbed up a rock face at a waterfall and walked along the edge. Demonstrating literally that act of balancing between the two worlds... It IS a dynamic balancing act - between thinking and feeling - AND learning to reframe - as Qmlo so aptly demonstrated - to reframe ON THE SPOT when you notice your mind saying uh oh here's a wall - and to develop the habit of IN THE MOMENT reframing that as AHA! Here's another GATE! HOW EXCITING!
artform> Val, I have an irrepressible scientific curiosity, and from past experiences some expectations or anticipations...
Jack> And that even means to REFRAME how you might tend to feel about having first framed an experience as a wall - such as the thought: KSMO practice inherently only produces only erratic results...
cumulonimbus> heh, cool
Jack> NO BLAME - without having said what you did, you wouldn't have been able to enjoy the OPPORTUNITY to experience this cognitive shift... this Moment of Enlightenment that we've all shared with you!
Jack> Yes, please continue artform. :)
artform> ...but when I have wondered where things seem to be going in unexpected ways, I remind myself that I need to be patient and open and mentally place myself back in an abstract of previous real rock climbing adventures and the like for a split second, then relax and listen to my body in its quiet details...
artform> ...that I have found sooner or later lead to some new exquisite ecstasy!
Jack> Well said, artform, Thanks! Val - are these comments helpful to you?
Jack> Welcome Buster!
Valentine> Yes they are.
artform> Over time, I have found the Key Sound to become a more and more focusable tool ( although I hope to find a less "instrumental" descriptor!) in learning to resonate with and synchronize these energies; as the "known" territory expands.
Jack> Thanks AGAIN, artform, for your sweet encouragement!
artform> As the adventures progress, more and more this seems to me to be a music of the energetic body and the wholeness of being in the world.
Jack> Val, by your willingness to show up here today, and to openly express your truth in the moment - look at what a great OPPORTUNITY you've been able to claim for yourself in your practice, AS WELL AS helping all of us here provide such a great learning example for all of the others who may read this!
Jack> Artform has just demonstrated the inherent rhapsodic nature our continuing attempts to describe these experiences!
cumulonimbus> Indeed! That's beautiful, artform. I also love your characterization of "known territory"; it's like being an explorer on a mapping expedition. Over every new rise is something new to learn.
artform> And until we get to the top of the next rise: "There be monsters!"
Laly> (jack, did you want me to share m experience ?- from earlier chat conversation?)
Jack> And the monsters are an opportunity to reframe them as GUIDES! Here's ANOTHER example of what I mean.
Valentine> I would like to hear your experiences
Jack> In fact, that very process of reframing is the core of my earlier work with dreams and learning how to convert nightmares into dreams of power.
Jack> I'll make that information available in the near future... It's from work I was doing actively in the 70's.
Jack> Yes, Ms. Laly, if all agree, please take the Talking Stick and speak! :)
artform> Yes, laly, please.
cumulonimbus> I'll agree.
Buster> Hi guys!
Laly> (hi Buster)
Laly> ok-- to refresh our memories.. Valentine asked
Laly> Because of the erratic nature of the KSMO, is it possible to intentionally direct the energy out a certain way? i.e. out the penis, out a chakra, etc
Laly> I am able to do so through my hands, and through my head at times
Laly> One day I was sitting on floor meditating and began to wonder if I could "bring forth" a ball of energy into my hands
Laly> experimenting with fluxuation of energy
Laly> i was making the KS softly--calling up energy and about 20 min later
Laly> i opened my eyes and lo and behold -- was holding a white and yellow ball of energy
Laly> i thought "WOW - i did it" and wept
Laly> ever hair on my body was standing on end-- from immense energy flow
Valentine> that's awesome!! why do you think it was white and yellow?
Laly> i have not wondered that-- only surmise
Laly> the joy and love --purely i felt at that point
artform> A wonderful Chi Gong energy concentration exercise!
Laly> my inner light showing and glowing :) .
artform> Indeed lalay!
artform> laly!
Valentine> (re:artform, qi gong is why I thought of the question)
Laly> I slowly re-absorbed the energy and havent done that exercise since.
artform> It is another important set of techniques for certain.
Laly> with my head-- i get that with every practice orgasmically now-- spontanous sessions-- that is ,, no prompting needed
artform> Laly, I have been able to create energy balls between the hands, felt as significant pressure and prickling, but nothing as high powered as yours to date. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Laly> i see many colors.
Laly> thank you for allowing me to share it with you all artform.
cumulonimbus> Thank YOU for doing so. What an amazing experience!
Jack> And that's VERY cool that you reabsorbed the energy as part of your practice!
Laly> Thanks...i remembered waht you said Jack...about sharing energy's in a public place
artform> Have you had the experience of feeling your mind reach out, grow out beyond your brain and skull and directly touch something else out in the world?
Laly> altho at the time-- was alone in room
Laly> artform-- most definately
Laly> would you like me to share that too??
artform> This is Rupert Sheldrake's area in "The Sense of Being Stared At" and other books and articles.
artform> Yes laly again, please.
Laly> *takes deep breath
artform> I think/feel that this is an important dimension of what we are doing here.
Laly> releases
Jack> I agree with artform and the others, wholeheartedly!
Laly> Ok --i am gonna refer to a dream I had a Drew's house a long time ago
Laly> re: my Indian Shaman and my white tiger spirit guide
Laly> I took a trip to Mexico in Nov 2006
Laly> the futhest I've ever traveled away from home and by myself
Laly> one night I was feeling lil lonely and out of place and started to cry
Laly> so I reclined in one of the hotel's sofas, closed my eyes and focused on connecting with my tiger--whom at the time I left to watch over Drew
Laly> over 200 miles or so away.
Laly> after awhile-- not sure of time involved-- I "felt" the bring of whiskers and fur on my face
Laly> and a soft purr in my ear.
Laly> and i began to laugh and said hi baby.
Laly> i probably looked nutz to people in hotel-- brushing 'air' as I stroked his head.
Laly> (brush-- not bring)
Laly> just laid there and talked to him for awhile
Laly> and about an hour later-- released bond with him and to watch over Drew once more
Laly> and i got up and felt like I wasnt walking on floor
Laly> but floating across it :).
artform> in the hotel, the dream, or in Drew's house?
Laly> an energnic orgasm-- who knows-- but I was that was for 2 days afterwards.
Laly> I was at the hotel in mexico,, my tiger spirit guide I left at drew's house to watch over him.
Laly> *way--
artform> definitely a love/energetic flowering of wondrous scale!
artform> Have you ever done this while conscious, and reached out in the space that you are in?
Laly> no
Laly> not to that degree anyway.
cumulonimbus> wow, Laly, your descriptions are incredible :)
Laly> when I am feeling sad or down-- i do
cumulonimbus> It felt like I was there sharing the experience with you.
Laly> as i type-- my hands are hot, as i related that :).
artform> It is a wonderful telling, laly.
artform> Can you describe "mind reaching out" when you are sad or down?
Laly> i can try--- it is more like reaching inside-- for good energy reserves
Laly> i search memories -- foe happy ones and recall how i felt at that point
Laly> *for
Laly> and the sadness slowly leaves and left with that happiness instead
artform> An essential skill, I agree!
Laly> i learned how to do that using Dr.. Laura's Serenity meditation cd
Laly> release unwanted energy
artform> I experimented with mrs. a present by attempting to let my mind reach out and up into the triangular corner of a timber-framed building we were in...
Laly> cool.
artform> ...and I could feel the texture of the wood and the shape and compression of moving my mind into that space...
artform> ...which seems to relate to the strong feelings of being mind present directly in the parts of my body where these energies take me...
artform> ...in our KSMO and related practices.
Jack> Raising the energy in this way and then directing into Life Intentions
artform> This mobility and extendability of the mind, presence, direct feeling, throughout and beyond the body appears to be another extraordinary dimension or potential of the "rewiring" we are experiencing as we develop with these practices.
Jack> can be a very powerful tool for bringing those intentions into being.
Laly> I agree artform.
artform> Jack, you are not in the user's list but welcome back!
Laly> It's been 3 years for me and STILL learning new things about self.
Jack> Thanks! Yes as I've mentioned before, that users' list is not accurate as to who is looking at the chat. It refreshes only when someone first logs in or has the opportunity to type a statement in the ChatBox... So when someone
artform> It is a wonderful continuing adventure, I agree laly!
Jack> is sharing a story for example, people may be dropped from that list although they are still logged in. For some reason vbmtor hasn't been able to fix this bug.
Jack> You can nevertheless see who is logged in by checking the list at the bottom of the Forum home page.
Laly> (ok thanks jack-- just making sure hadnt got lost in cyberspace)
Jack> ... In the Currently Active Users section.
Jack> No worries, Laly. :)
artform> It says that Val is still with us too at the bottom of the page.
Jack> We're coming up on the end of the third hour for this chat segment (next one starts in 7 hours)... Is there anything else anyone would like to share or ask before we wrap this one up?
artform> ...in which case I should briefly give a specific answer to your question Val...
Laly> *lays talking stick down
Jack> Yes, please do, artform!
Jack> Thanks again Laly for that great report!
Laly> you are very welcome
Jack> For the record... artform. :)
artform> YES, I have had several times when the energies concentrate at will, (and at times spontaneously!) and are released in a focused path. Awhile ago now, mrs. a and I were gently making love and I used a key sounding to intensify and share...
artform> ...and must have overdone the sound or the mental move, because it produce a flash of light at my perineum and intense jolt of electrical energy from there up my penis to to mrs. a; a real jolt!
artform> Must learn more control on the intensity dial!!! LOL!
artform> Thanks agian Laly!
artform> again!
artform> Thanks to all! Chat again soon... Bye for now.
Laly> bye artform
Jack> Take care everyone!
Laly> you too Jack
Jack> Thanks again for being here and for sharing!
Jack> The ChatBox remains open of course for those who care to continue to chat. I'll be back at 7pm Pacific Daylight Time, 0200GMT, for the next hosted chat segment.
Jack> Boy, those three hours really went FAST today!
Jack> :)
Laly> yeah
Jack> ***** END of hosted portion of Training and Discussion Chat, Segment 1
cumulonimbus> Thanks for letting me join you guys! I'll definitely do so again.
Laly> great
Jack> Thanks again Laly... for your openness and sharing, and again CONGRATULATIONS on all of this GREAT PROGRESS and Personal Growth you've been accomplishing these few years!!!
Laly> *beems
Jack> Qmlo, I've really loved your comments and really DO hope you'll return soon and share more of your experiences and your point of view. They are VERY valuable to anyone studying this practice!
cumulonimbus> Yes indeed. Nice to finally meet you, Laly!
Jack> Thanks also very much Val for sharing your experiences, questions, and challenges... By doing so, we all grow in our understanding of opening ever more to the gifts available to us through this practice.
Jack> Likewise many thanks to artform for your sharing how you've integrated this practice with your other personal growth endeavors, and into your intimate loving relationship with Mrs. A!
cumulonimbus> Thanks, Jack. It's an impressive support system you've built here, I must say. Your personal dedication is a gift to us all.
Laly> hugs all bye
Jack> Thanks very much for your kind words, Cumulonimbus!
tandello> It seems that everyone is signing out and going home. Is this the case
tandello> It is evidently so. Perhaps next session.
Jack> ***** Welcome to the Multiple Orgasm Trigger Training and Discussion Chat hosted personally by Jack Johnston MA
Jack> G'day again Lopez! Did you get any sleep? :)
Jack> Hey welcome back, tandello! Didja get the email I just sent you?
Jack> Tandello, if you're having trouble staying logged in, when you DO login, check the Remember Me box just to the right of where you enter your username and password.
Lopez> Got close to 8 hours Thanks ;)
Jack> Excellent! How's life? Still enjoying the fruits of your Vipasana retreat?
Lopez> Sure am, although I feel I am due for another... most likely later this year when the weather gets warmer
Lopez> I have noticed that since the Vipassana retreat my life experience had travelled noticeably inward
Lopez> and I grew less and less concerned with outward manifestation
Lopez> and prioritied knowledge, discovery and self-exploration
Lopez> I see the months following the retreat as an inhalation of wisdom, the inward journey
Lopez> and in the last few weeks I have begun to feel the shift and craving for worldly manifestation, the outward journey or exhalation of wisdom
Lopez> completing one cycle of life and death, one breath of wisdom
Jack> (r u still typing? I didn't see any terminal punctuation so I assume you are.)
Jack> By exhalation of wisdom do you mean sharing what you're learning with others? or???
Lopez> sure, and also the internalising intellectual knowing through experiential knowing. Which to me is where the process is complete and wisdom is created.
Jack> Imho Experiential knowing is how we ground or anchor our intellectual knowing, so we don't just float away. :)
Lopez> I agree with that too :)
Lopez> something that you had said struck a chord eariler, and I will be seeking your assistance via a phone coaching session this week (if you have the time?)
Jack> yes I do. Just email me and we can arrange it.
Jack> Welcome back, artform!
artform> Thanks Jack and Hi Lopez!
Lopez> Hi artform :D
artform> I have enjoyed your sharing of your retreat experience very very much.
artform> Thanks so much for doing that.
Lopez> It was my pleasure. I enjoy writing and intend to do many more articles. And some day put the articles together and create my very own book :)
artform> And Jack, I've got amazon sending Red Hot Tantra and Sexual Energy Ecstasies!
Jack> Great Goal!
artform> What a great commitment Lopez!
Jack> My Great Goal comment was re: your planning to do your own book!
Lopez> Thanks guys
artform> Lopez, has your retreat experience altered your path with KSMO noticeably in the last couple of weeks?
Lopez> my retreat experience has certainly created far more inner space in which to enjoy my experience. That said, I am not entirely free from mind noise
Lopez> Since the retreat I have had a few interruptions, a furball or two, and a few excuses (furballs in disguise). So I haven't had consistent sessions throughout the week. The last session I had was characterised by mind noise and so I stopped 10 mins in to quell the discomfort.
artform> I have had an intense dose of the outside world over the last week, some of it very positive, but no time for quiet, focused practice.
Lopez> The session before that was as good as any other meditation session that I have (at the moment, I have my KSMO after other meditative exercises)
Jack> That's certainly good prep for a KSMO session!
Lopez> I could feel the energy flow and really had the sense that I was making quite progress. There have been a few blocks to progress, and I am going to consult with Jack later this week to get me back on the path.
artform> Agreed! I like to have a long hot bath meditation session as part of my KSMO and/or Aneros sessions.
Jack> Also a very good idea, artform!
artform> I am still working on some stubborn blockage at the heart chakra...
Jack> For one, the hot water helps your body's large muscles relax more deeply, and that helps open up the flow of energy throughout your body more readily.
Jack> Grief?
Jack> re: heart chakra?
artform> It may well be... We have had a number of deaths in the family regularly over the last eight years.
Jack> I'm very sorry to hear that... Are you aware of having done any processing about them thus far?
artform> There are other life events too that have a deep grief component, which are still highly active. It is almost impossible to keep up with it all from a grieving perspective.
Jack> I hear you Brother... plus the underlying grief about world events, etc.
Jack> We signed up to live during challenging times!
artform> Some of my friends feel that I have some deeply buried anger. I have explored that from several directions and keep sensitive to what my body is saying.
artform> You're right about the challenging times, and grief about world events.
Jack> Even grief can have an orgasmic quality - in the sense that ANY emotion when profoundly and thoroughly allowed to be felt, can be a complete giving over to the emotion - yet within a grounded frame... That is, in contrast to completely losing it and going bonkers... What I mean is a grounded giving over to the visceral truth of the emotions.
artform> But I am optimistic while being realistic, and I express and deeply feel joy often!
artform> I was at a university conference earlier this week; profoundly moving in many ways...
Jack> RE: accessing the truth of possibly repressed emotions, I've found it to be quite helpful to use methods of exploratory expression that are not customary for me, such as finger- (or hand!) painting... Literally messing with paint... The more primal emotions then can really have a great opportunity to come forth!
Jack> Getting a 24" or 36" wide roll of so-called butcher paper (I search for a synonym of THAT appellation!) plus a number of different colors of non-toxic acrylic paints...
Jack> Tacking big wide sheet of the paper to a wall, protected by a plastic tarp behind the paper and on the floor... And let it HAPPEN!
Jack> I am VERY glad to hear that you let yourself feel the JOY deeply as well!!!
artform> ...and even with tears brimming at several points in the keynote in many eyes in the room, there was also a deep rising positive energy in response to the tragedy being presented and the human struggle to make any sense of the events...
Jack> That's a VERY important part of making the process WHOLE, imho.
Jack> Yes I can REALLY relate to that seeming paradox, artform!
artform> LOL! We are great ones too for rolls of butcher paper and improvisational art happenings!
Jack> Fantastic! No wonder you share such a strong relationship!
artform> Mrs. A is an artist and retired art teacher. Both of us have a professional exploration of aesthetics at our individual and shared core.
Jack> That's wonderful! My wife is also!
artform> It also brings us back to the Chat this afternoon and the "music" of all of these explorations and embodied experiences.
Jack> It can also be a very powerful process to experience solo as well. Both for married people AND for single people.
artform> Indeed! I have a rich solo pathway evolving in parallel with our mutual discoveries and ecstasies...
artform> which feeds back into our mutual life.
Jack> That is GREAT, artform! I wish that for you, too, Lopez!
artform> I encourage mrs. a to explore solo too!
Lopez> :)
Jack> There is a classic video now available in DVD by the late Dr. Janie Rhyne, Gestalt Art Therapist trained by Fritz Perls... VERY powerful!
artform> She has had a good experience with the Slightest Touch tens unit I gave her for Valentine's Day!:D
artform> I would appreciate knowing more about that DVD Jack.
Jack> Sure! I'll locate it the reference and email it to you.
artform> Thanks!
artform> I searched amazon.com and get "Art Therapy with Sexual Abuse Survivors" by Stephanie L. Brooke, which must have material in it by Dr. Janie Rhyne, as that was my search request.
Jack> http://www.amazon.com/Gestalt-Art-Ex.../dp/0818501022
Jack> That's the hardcover book. The DVD may be a bit more of a challenge. It's rare.
Jack> Here's the DVD:

Jack> This approach is SUCH nice balance for our Western Hemisphere tendencies to intellectualization of experience!
artform> Thanks so much Jack! I've got all the links and will follow-up soon!
Jack> Please DO keep us posted!
artform> Will do. Last night I attended a book launch for a friend birthing an new collection of poetry into the world...
artform> (When will I remember to click "Remember me"?)
Jack> LOL... with enough practice! ;)
Jack> Don't know why that bug persists!
artform> ...and have been inspired by her poems, great universal musings from autobiographical incidents...
Jack> Lovely! Do you have an example that you can quote without violating copyrights (e.g., Fair Use)?
artform> ...to want to give voice again to my own, as earlier with great support from profs and a leading poet...
artform> ...time will tell...
Jack> I'm looking forward to seeing some of THOSE as well!!!
Jack> Feel free to use your blog here as a chapbook!
artform> Or a torture device! LOL!!!
Jack> Yeah, lol!
Jack> But seriously folks... you're welcome to!
Jack> Well, I confess I'm starting to fade a bit... It's been a long week for me. :) Is there anything else you'd like to discuss or I might help you with?
artform> Thanks Jack! ...time will tell... ...as it always does...
Jack> That's to all of you... Lopez, cumulonimbus, and artform.
artform> Fading here too... Thanks very much for today's chats!
Lopez> I'm good. I'll speak to you sometime this week Jack?
