Jack> Good Evening Laly, welcome! laly> Hi Jack HUGSS Jack> Thanks! And to you... Jack> How's it going this evening? laly> so-so. laly> am happy at one point, then kinda sad at another point. Jack> You mentioned off-chat that you'd just updated the thread on - orgasm without stimulation - in the OrgasmWiki. Would you pls post the link here? laly> http://www.multiples.com/orgasmwiki/...ut_stimulation Jack> I hear you re: some plusses, some not so hot... Overall are you doin' ok though? Jack> Thanks for the link! laly> yeah- overall , am good. laly> yw Jack> Excellent re: overall = good. :-) laly> tis a joy to 'play' in there. Jack> Raising the BASELINE. :-) Jack> RE: play - in the wiki? laly> yeah- editing , posting - whatever. Jack> That's great! laly> makes my heart sing. Jack> :-) Jack> I think we're finding a good balance between the role of the OrgasmWiki and the Forum... Jack> BTW, I have more news about the Forum migration. laly> great. Jack> Here's the latest: Jack> I've given "Jerry the Importer" the green light to write the script that will enable us Jack> to import ALL of the content from the WebBoard Forum into Jack> vBulletin! laly> that is TOTALLY rockin!! Jack> Yeah I am VERY excited about it! It's gonna be great to have a more feature-rich, user-friendly laly> how do they feel about supposed 'content' of the KSMO forum laly> i.e. the sex related 'education' Jack> Forum program that actually DOES let you format text using the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) formatting buttons such as you see in the OrgasmWiki page edit box. laly> uh huh. Jack> No worries re: the sex ed. Just make it clear, as we have that this is for adults only. BTW for the record, laly> I myself have been 'tip=toeing' thru Vbulletin site. Jack> a really good website for sexuality education for teens is www.teenwire.com laly> cool. laly> hmm..maybe for some adults as well Jack. Jack> It's sponsored by Planned Parenthood and they give teens access to clear information about burgeoning sexuality and relationships. Jack> ABSOLUTELY, LALY! laly> *tears up n smiles. laly> is something I wished we had when i was that age. Jack> I HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR!!! Interesting recent study (don't have the cites at hand, but will get them into the wiki as soon as I can) that shows Jack> that states that provide clear, solid information instead of abstinence only without any details or tools about sexuality issues during adolescence Jack> have STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT differences (for the better) in numbers of teen pregnancies, sexual abuse victimization, etc. laly> uh huh. Jack> Once I get finished with the Forum migration, I'm looking forward to adding some of that solid information to the OrgasmWiki, since of course Jack> many of the people who visit our website areas are parents. I want to offer them solid Jack> resources to pass on to their kids. laly> am glad Sexuality education had improved for the better since my youthful days. laly> yeah!! Jack> Yeah I second that!!! Jack> The AASECT organization you hear me talk about laly> yeah? Jack> is a veritable WELLSPRING of SOLID info for children and adults, and I'm Jack> really looking forward to sharing some of the excellent resources and publications, etc. laly> me too. Jack> offered by their several thousand professional members. [ www.aasect.org - The American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists ] Jack> How about for the record I post here the latest news about the Forum migration? laly> sure Jack> As I mentioned, Jerry the Importer (my nickname for the vBulletin programmer who writes all of their import scripts for importing data from some other forum into vBulletin) Jack> has written successful import scripts for over 90 different forum PROGRAMS (not just forums, but BRANDS of Forum software) for bringing Jack> their data into vBulletin. Jack> I think he's qualified. :-) laly> ya- sounds like it .Jack> He checked out our database and in spite of some quirks, Jack> he sees it as doable. Jack> Here's how it will probably work: Jack> As soon as he gets a couple of other things off his desk, Jack> he will use the snapshot of our Forum database as his model to figure out how to map its Jack> data to the way vBulletin organizes its data. Jack> Once he has the Importer script written, then I will set our Jack> current Forum to read-only and run the Importer script on the underlying database. laly> nice. Jack> If all goes according to plan... badabing! There may be some issues around people re-registering or maybe adding their current email addresses, Jack> but overall, IF it all goes acc'g to plan, as I say, all of the 10+ years' worth of threaded posts will be moved Jack> into the vBulletin Forum! Once that's done and it looks like it didn't turn into spaghetti, laly> (laughs as image of spaghetti n forum posts) Jack> we'll have the Grand Opening of the vBulletin version of the Forum - with all of the old data still right at hand! laly> sweet! Jack> Yeah - I've been wanting to get that done for some time, since all of the bells and whistles in vBulletin actually work! laly> okay- one question that pops into my mind Jack is Jack> Probably no more or very little html type editing will be necessary. The Edit Box will look VERY similar to the one in the OrgasmWiki - that is, Jack> if you want to bold something you just select it and click on the BOLD button, etc. laly> yeah- also members can iput smilies in their posts (if you enable that option oonly tho). laly> *input (not iput) Jack> vBulletin does not have an integrated chat feature like WebBoard, but I'm not concerned cuz I can prolly establish an IRC private channel (or similar to IRC) and Jack> install on our multiples.com server to continue to make the actual chat participation exclusive to practitioners of the Multiple Orgasm Trigger Protocol, with the Jack> transcripts posted to the vBulletin Forum afterward. Jack> RE: enabling various options... yeah we'll ask people what they want. There are lots of various features that can be implemented - I just want to go slowly Jack> with that because I want everyone to feel safe etc. re: actual identity, no inappropriate back-channel contacts, etc. Jack> Boundaries, ya know. :-) laly> yeah- that was the question that popped up - was gonna ask Jack> I want to invite our community to help formulate the policies and guidelines for setting those boundaries. laly> privacy issues - for our forum members. Jack> e.g. as we get to know someone here they may then be granted extra rights, etc. laly> hmmm... Jack> Yes, privacy is foremost - and MUTUAL consent to contact. laly> nother question - would our vbulletin site be 'lobbed in' with the john Q public - that is people already registered in vbulletin? Jack> No. Jack> Only people who are already registered in the current Forum, that is, laly> (am asking question I think other members would probably ask Jack about this) Jack> people who have purchase one or more of my seminars. Jack> Yes, thanks for those kinds of questions - please keep asking, we're building a little FAQ here. :-) laly> and signing up is not hard for Vbulletin either! Jack> No, it shouldn't be. I'm still working on that issue re: easy way to restrict registration to known people, while making the information available laly> I myself have been researching the site on behalf of KSMO/MMO members and poking round. Jack> to the general public 18 and above. Jack> What have you found? laly> getting to the message board is easy and there are SO many topics to look at. laly> everything fromt echnical programming issues to everyday general mood threads. laly> much like KSMO i get a real sense of everyone helping each other. Jack> Right... here you are referring to the forum at www.vbulletin.com, correct? laly> yes. Jack> yes I do too. There's a real sense of community. laly> only isnt called forum in vbulletin but Community laly> to get to the 'message board threads. Jack> yep. Warmer - imho for our goals and approach - also more accurate. Jack> Speaking a little more to your ? about will our posts be mixed with all of the others at www.vbulletin.com, Jack> as I said, Jack> the answer is no. To clarify: Jack> I have licensed their software and installed it on the multiples.com Jack> server, and MySQL database. Jack> Therefore although our Community will have a similar look and feel as what you find at vbulletin.com, laly> and that means you have exclusive liscenseing use of it? Jack> it will be running on the multiples.com server, I will be the prime Administrator, Jack> and only people in our specific community will be registered users with posting rights. Jack> Did I answer your ? re: licensing? Jack> Other people license the vBulletin software, but they won't have access to our _data_ unless they come to the multiples.com website laly> yeah- as i mentioned asking question i think others may be thinking as we talk about this here. Jack> and read. Jack> Most definitely re: asking ?'s that others will ask. Jack> Privacy - at least to the extent that that is even feasible on the Internet - is my PRIMARY concern. Jack> That's why I want everyone to continue using a pseudonym user name and a valid email address that does not contain their actual identity. laly> yeah- was mine too Jack ..that is why I tested the site for you - regarding that issue beforehand purchasing the software. Jack> All registrations have email confirmation, also. Jack> Yes, and thanks very much for that! laly> twas a pleasure. Jack> :-) laly> like a girl in the candy store. laly> lol. Jack> yeah I hear you. I was very excited about how they have it all laid out, as well. It'll be lots more FUN as well as educational. laly> each new area i looked at -was like OH WOW i like that , or that is KEWL. Jack> What examples come to mind? laly> or Jack'll like that - administrative wise. Jack> Yep! laly> well for one- that sticks out laly> each member can change how the site appears to them laly> they have like 8 different style sheets to choose from. Jack> And people tend to develop more as time goes on. Jack> So although our particular online Community Forum is restricted as to posting rights to the people who have acquired my seminars and are Jack> thus familiar with the basic fundamentals of this practice, Jack> as to software features, bells and whistles, we get the benefit of developers from a MUCH larger community of other people who use vB for whatever THEIR particular interests are. laly> uh huh. Jack> Also, depending on how the importing of the data goes, our community folk will Jack> prolly see familiar forum areas e.g. Chat - Main Room, etc. - with our having the option to create more (or fewer) as people prefer. Jack> While researching how this software works, I've had the oppty to visit a couple of different laly> great- that'll be a plus for the members- new ones that is/ Jack> implementations of the vB softare and it's been a very smooth experience. laly> great!! Jack> Yes indeed - that is my intention and goal. laly> that was my worry- the workload or stress i'd put on you laly> >Jack> Do you have any other questions about the migration, etc.? Jack> Or how vB works? laly> no laly> i have been in there- so know a little more that most i guess , besides YOU of course ::P . Jack> Ok - I will be sending out an email to everyone on our list when I have some more news. Jack> Meanwhile, when I announce the posting of THIS chat transcript, I'll also encourage people to go out to the vB developer's own site to become more familiar with the interface. Jack> Then I'll send out an email 24 hours before I change the status of our current Forum to read-only so that we can migrate the data to the new Forum. Once it looks like it's successful, Jack> then I'll publish the details on how to access our new vB Forum! laly> great!! Jack> YEAH!!! Jack> :-) WAY! Jack> :-) Jack> Ok... is there anything else you'd like to discuss this evening? laly> other than my practice seems to be in a lag period again. Jack> Well that really makes sense, since you've really expended a LOT of emotional energy lately... makes total sense Jack> for your system to need some down time to re-integrate, rest, and recharge. laly> in my heart i know that, but it's hard laly> too Jack> Why is that? laly> be feeling so ON top of the world one day or week and so down in the dumps feeling the next. laly> a very emotional roller coaster ride. Jack> Yeah I can really relate to that kind of experience... Jack> As time goes on, the swings may not seem quite so extreme from day to day. Jack> I gotta say those kinds of ups and downs are pretty typical for where you are in your recovery process. laly> yeah Jack> It's important to take some time to just rest and nurture yourself - e.g. warm relaxing teas, warm baths, soothing music, etc. laly> goes to the 'expectations' Jack> Good nutrition, some walking, etc. Jack> Yep those expectations - pretty similar to the Multiple Orgasm Trigger practice in that way isn't it? Not letting Jack> those expectations get in the way - They of course WILL happen - it's natural to feel those kinds of expectations - Jack> as the I Ching says: No Blame. Perseverance Furthers. - But I've found it helpful to recognize that it IS a natural pattern Jack> that IS part of the recovery process. Jack> INCLUDING wanting the down times to just go away once and for all. That's a natural desire! Jack> Usually they disappear a little at time and then it may kinda slip your mind, then one day you'll suddenly realize: Jack> Wow! I haven't felt _really_ down in X days or weeks or ... you get the idea. :-) laly> yeah i do= am slowly coming out of one right now Jack> That sounds about right to me. Jack> I like hearing that it's a somewhat gradual process. I trust that. laly> is hard- but i do too- regarding trust. Jack> Yep. Trust in yourself, your allies e.g. your support network and your counselor, and your deep underlying WILL to get a little better, Jack> more and more... laly> yeah- today a friend of mine stopped in at work ans we talked laly> *and Jack> sometimes a big leap, sometimes a little, then maybe a twinge of a memory that brings some grief - and realizing that's an oppty to let go of a little more of the past, and so it goes. laly> she asked when I go again - to see **. laly> I told her - in march. Jack> Nice that Feb is short month, eh? :-) laly> yeah laly> and i talked to a co-worker today about learning to drive and getting DL. Jack> VERY cool! laly> then would be able to get up there more Jack> Yep, in due time... laly> uh huh= one step at a time. Jack> That really is it, exactly. It's important to give your Little One enough time and space and support to heal, Jack> and to slide over to the passenger's seat and enjoy the ride while grown up Laly takes the wheel. :-) laly> .Jack> ;-) laly> i've rather enjoyed the times she's been at the wheel laly> talking to Drew. laly> opening up more and more to him. Jack> It's great for her to be able to have the Talking Stick and share with him - btw, did you happen to read that Jack> sweet exchange that Drew and I had at the end of the last chat? It was after everyone else had left, we took some time Jack> to catch up with each other - it had been quite a while. It was a very sweet exchange, imho. Jack> You know, he's been associated with this community for about ten years. Jack> You have a very solid friend there. laly> nothing shows up in chat after mag left jack Jack> Oh maybe I didn't get it added to the public transcript - I thot I had - maybe akl, who does the summaries, didn't get that part of the chat transcript. Thanks for letting me know. laly> yw. laly> i knew drew needed to talk to you- that is why i left you two to talk. Jack> Drew really shared and since it was just the two of us - it had felt more like a private chat in some ways, so I held it back to double check with him about posting publicly. He enthusiastically said yes, do so. Jack> Thanks for being sensitive to his need in that way. That's a sweet considerate gift! laly> since he and i are so close in things Jack> Yes indeed. laly> knew he'd hold back on certain things if i stayed. laly> i have nothing but the up most repsect for Drew laly> respect Jack> That's exactly how I feel. Deep love and respect. Jack> And I've told him so. Jack> [ brimming tears ]. laly> and being as energy sensitive as I am laly> yeah me too - re: tears , freely flowing right now. laly> I can tell when he's hurting laly> and he can tell when i am too laly> no matter how hard i try to hide it from him. Jack> Yeah it's a really great friendship you two have built. And needless to say, I am VERY glad that he introduced you to our community - you have given SO much! laly> thanks- this community in turn has done SO much for me too. laly> my views, perceptions, even my physcial self laly> have all under went many great transformations.. laly> to accept an angry women into the fold laly> *woman laly> watching her blossom, change before your 'eyes' Jack> to put it mildly! :-) Jack> You have grown tremendously! laly> so when i say KSMO saved my life Jack, i mean it from my heart. Jack> I hear you. That means a GREAT deal to me. That's why I'm here... to offer that opportunity. Jack> Thank you. laly> i still blush when trying to type those umm - very private parts by name laly> (SEE still cant do it yet ) Jack> That is quite all right, imho. laly> but I can and do replay to anyone and everone that posts. laly> reply! Jack> :-) laly> darn sub conscious anyhow lol Jack> Yeah and you bring the real stuff when you do! Jack> (re: your reply posts). Jack> Yep that ol' subconscious just keeps teaching us! Jack> Giving us an often playful, sometimes a little embarassing, but pretty much always instructive different view of things. laly> thanks- to hear Lava and others thank me for my honesty Jack> Add ME to that list! laly> just reaffirms what I wanted from the beginning - to be OPEN and HONEST laly> about everything laly> like - 'here i am' kind of view Jack> In that you have SUCCEEDED. laly> and to hear some the male members even - i was like OH WOW. Jack> EXCELLENT. laly> to me you all are my 'family' Jack> :-) Jack> ...and your tribe. laly> (tears up . brims over) Jack> Yes, you are very welcome here. laly> .Jack> :-) Jack> Well, dear Laly... I think I need to wrap it for this evening. laly> yeah. laly> i think so too- laly> nodding off a bit myself. laly> been a LONG day today. laly> HUGSS Jack> Thanks very much for all you've shared tonight, from your evaluation of the new vBulletin software, to sharing still more of your incredible shamanic journey. Jack> HUGSS!!! Jack> Talk with you soon! laly> thanks- i eagerly await the next one- regarding the sh. journey laly> it will be soon -- can feel it. Jack> Great! Talk with you then... take care, just as you have been... :-) Jack> Bye for now. laly> thanks= nite and sweet dreams Jack -as always. Jack> And the same to you, Laly - as always.
