Sure it's fine to post here if you have a question like this.

Granted, I am on Windows 2000 Professional so my general platform is pretty dated. It still seems to be humming right along except for this function.
If anyone has any feedback, I would appreciate it.

The chatbox probably requires a more recent Operating System, as it uses a functionality called Ajax. I had my tech consultant vbmtor thoroughly check out all functions at this end at my expense and we've replied to you about this.
You can contact Microsoft directly or a Microsoft Support Forum and post a question there about Ajax being supported on your OS and hardware.
Personally I wouldn't recommend Windows Vista, but my hunch is that Windows XP is required as a minimum, or a recent Mac OS such as Tiger or Leopard.
You can check with Microsoft - or Google:
Microsoft Windows Professional 2000 Ajax - You are getting deep into the jungle though in my personal opinion.
You can call around to Microsoft dealers and ask them how do you get your OS to work with Ajax.
I can appreciate that installing Windows XP may require more recent hardware for you as well, but there should be plenty of options available for used computers that are inexpensive that can run XP, and so far, Chatbox runs ok on my XP system.
It's really a time versus money issue as well - how much time are you willing to spend trying to patch and rig older software to get it to maybe sorta work?
Another possible upgrade path is to Windows 2002 Professional but I cannot guarantee that it would work any better. If you can get access to a Windows 2002 Professional machine and login from there you could test it.
Good luck!
