My thoughts of the day/week ...
coming home - part 2
Posted 19th July 2009 at 18:30 by Laly
After a conversation in the chat channel with rumel...about my using the term "ugly" in my blog before regarding the levels of the cloud I was watching.
His reply in thinking of the term he'd use as it being "pregnant" brought a such a shudder from me that I couldn't understand where he'd come up with that image. The mere thought of his suggestion of the "raining" down just sending confusion to my mind. Did he really want all the fear, mind noise, the anger, the old shell of ourselves to "really" rain down upon the Earth and upon us????
Then I had some clarity to what he was saying-- praise the heavens-- I think he meant in the sense of us releasing all that -- letting go , not hanging on to all that .
I shall hold onto that thought and smile.

Laly,
Your re-evaluation of the imagery and symbolic value of the "pregnant" cloud is the correct interpretation I was trying to convey. I may not have typed my intent very clearly and for that I apologize. Clouds are an essential component of the respiration of Gaia's biosphere on which we are all dependent for our very existence. The idea that the cloud is pregnant is a metaphor for its release of life sustaining water, nurturing all under Gaia's breath. It is also metaphor for the release of those qualities of which you spoke "...fear, mind noise, the anger, the old shell of ourselves..." Sometimes that release is gentle like a summer shower, sometimes the release may be violent and destructive as a monsoon typhoon, in both cases release is accomplished, Gaia breathes easily again, the earth and her inhabitants are cleansed and nurtured by the ultimate delivery of the clouds cargo. I see every cloud as beautiful even when it growls thunder and ignites the sky with lightning.
Warms hugs for sharing the same understanding,

Thanks rumel
.
No apologies necessary--I just for a few moments--got turned around and thinking of negative connotation to your comments rather than seeing it in the positive that you were trying to convey.
As I read your reply-- the tears began to fall ...and I am letting them. A way of releasing the tension that I''ve been putting myself under lately I suppose.Posted 19th July 2009 at 21:18 by Laly
