Today’s session was rather quiet, perhaps the lull before the powerful thunderclouds move in? I did experience a few tic/spasms in my legs and feet during the ‘warm down’ period. One new sensation occurred today, I felt a very mild swelling and warmth occur in about half of my right hand encompassing the thumb, index and middle fingers. At the peak of the swelling I detected an very slow whirlpool of energy moving within the hand, a soothing smooth flowing feeling just under the skin in the top layer of muscles, very pleasing. This is an effect I would like to experience over my whole body, maybe someday I will! Another new effect emerged in the warm down period, this was a flashed visual image on my inner mental screen perhaps 2 seconds at most. A lucid dream image perhaps? I had a ground level viewpoint (fisheye lens effect) looking up at a blue sky with a few big white fluffy clouds, when suddenly a man quickly strides into my field of view and steps over me. I immediately see to my right a frog facing to the left, silhouetted against the sky. My viewpoint then pulled back along the ground a few feet where I saw another frog on my left facing right but this frog was in the shadows of papers and leaves. At this point the image ceased. Obviously my sub-conscious is trying to communicate something here to me. I presume the man was me who was apparently focused on going somewhere neither in haste or leisurely in pace but at a rather purposeful gait. The frogs, to me are symbolic of metamorphic changes in ones lifetime. The two frogs may represent male and female aspects of myself. The right hand frog (I’m right handed) in full daylight being the male aspect and the left hand frog being the female aspect shadowed in mystery but every bit as real and present as the male. I don’t yet get the message being shown me but perhaps, I’ll get it in the next few days.One last thing I noticed, towards the end of my KS practice portion of my session, my breathing cycle really slowed down to only 2-3 breaths per minute when at the begining it was up at 4 breaths per min., these were deep full chest and belly breaths, somewhat unusual for me. I was in a very relaxed state at this point, definitely a hypnagogic period.

10/05/08 - Update on my lucid dream, further interpretations. The frogs are the mature stage of my consciousness with acknowledgment for both aspects of my psyche, male and female – yin and yang. The frogs facing each other represent their acceptance of each other's presence, a harmonious balanced pair, left hand and right hand if you will, opposite but not opposed, each part of a greater whole (me). The me that I saw in my dream was striding with purpose toward a goal that was behind me, unseen and unknown, but it is not unknown, it is really going back to the start of my journey 40 years ago in my youth, a journey toward self understanding. As career and personal relationships became more pressing that original journey was detoured, then I started on the path again, 20 years later, only to be detoured again by career demands and personal relationships.
So now here it is 20 years since the last detour and once again I find myself back on the path toward self enlightenment. This time is different though because I now have new tools and new insight about the life force energy that is the source of all creative endeavors. I suspect my life direction is gradually going to change focus as this wondrous adventure unfolds before me.
