Rumel's Ruminations - 02

I just finished my second KSMO session. In my warm down period (30 min.) after practicing the KS’s (25 min.) I believe I experienced my first echo effects, just a few, they were intriguingly subtle. A couple had just the slightest tinge of pleasure associated with them. The first one I felt was like a lukewarm pulse that originated in my chest went to the top of my head, bounced off the inside of my skull and immediately flowed down through my body to my toes, it took about a second to occur. The next few were like marble sized effervescent bubbles of energy that appeared and popped at various locations in my body (left elbow, right big toe, right hip/groin area, left thigh/buttocks area, lower back), when they popped the energy was absorbed in the tissues within a 2” radius, each of these took less than a second to occur. In the very relaxed state I was in, I happened to sneeze once and immediately perceived a blue-white energy pulse radiate from my chest up through and out my head and also down and out through my feet, this was a new experience in my perception, it is probable this has always been occurring when I have sneezed in the past, but just have not been focused enough in my awareness to recognize the sensation. Anyway, it was a pleasant new sensation. That’s all to report for now.

Jack,
Here’s my real, true life fawn story. Forty plus years ago while fishing in a beaver pond in a remote area of Montana, I had been lulled into a sleepy restful state by the warm June sun and gentle breeze. I heard what sounded like a full throated kitten occasionally mew. I thought “where is this big kitten out here in the middle of the wilds”, I slowly turned my head in the direction of the sound to see a young fawn standing about 50 ft. away from me along the shore of the pond. It was looking around but hadn’t noticed me watching it. I continued to watch as this fawn mewed a couple more times, about a minute later a mature doe stepped out of some willow bushes and strode over to her fawn, sniffed the fawn a few times and casually looked around. They started to graze on the tall grasses surrounding the pond. I continued to just watch their actions until the wind shifted and the doe apparently caught my scent. She lifted her head sniffed the air, quickly turned and led her fawn off back into the willows. I can still remember that I said to myself at the time “This is a special moment, remember this”, and I have. I think I understand the concept of not chasing the fawn away, they are indeed special moments, when time and self cease to exist, and an awareness of the connectedness of all living things manifests itself.Posted 22nd September 2008 at 22:45 by rumel

I have a question for you rumel, do you recall whereabouts this might have been? I live in Montana and I, too, have a story like the one in your comment.
I was in the mountains, can't recall which at the moment(I've been to them all practically hah), and it was pitch black other than the moon. I was laying on the dirt road leading into our camping spot gazing at the Milky Way. Because I couldn't see my way back to my tent I brought a small flashlight, which I laid next to my hand as I laid on the road.
After seeing about 10 shooting stars I picked up my flashlight, and got up when suddenly about 5 feet behind me a mature mule doe darted off into the ditch. Luckily for me I already had the flashlight instinctively turned on, prepared for a mountain lion or something. Turns out she scared me just as much as I scared her. Before she darted off into the woods she looked at me and I shone my light on her. For that split second I could feel connected to her, to the trees, to the sky, and the mountains; everything around me. I could see the light glimmer off her eyes in a light green/yellow beaming way(much like a cat or dog's eyes with the proper lighting). She lingered for another moment just staring at me, before hopping off into the woods.
The part that I found really curious was that even though we were both startled and our hearts were racing, everything was calm and tranquil for a split second. I also find it intriguing how she didn't dash away from me like I was a mountain lion or something. Maybe she was curious to see what I was, or maybe there was something else at work here??
Either way I hope you enjoyed my experience with the 'fawn' and the wilderness of MontanaPosted 10th February 2009 at 23:12 by CRUNKYEAH

CRUNKYEAH, Yes, I do recall where this was, alongside a beaver bond adjacent to Sweetwater Creek in the Crazy Mountains. In your encounter, I'm certain there existed a curiosity on the doe's part, in my observations of animals in the wild they all exhibit a curiosity about their environments and their fellow creatures, if only to determine who is friend and who is foe, predator and prey, or who can simply be ignored as inconsequential. Whether we can make contact on a spiritual energy level is open to speculation, at those times when a connection does seem to exist, Jack's phrase "...words fail..." is an apt expression. Then again she just may have been mystified by the flashlight shining in her eyes like the deer caught in a vehicle's headlights. Who knows?Posted 11th February 2009 at 00:39 by rumel

On a spiritual level, it is very hard to say if there's a connection with the deer for that split second. Something we may never know..
