OH wow!!
Just finished watching a great movie called "Peaceful Warrior" . I wept so much as it reminds me of what occurs with Family Constellations...in the fact of letting go of pre-conceived ideals or beliefs .. ones that aren't really yours but belong to others.
It is about author Dan Millman's "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" book. Now I have a few of his books and I love each one.
It also had me thinking in terms of KSMO-- of the end goal some may have for themselves--that is to achieve orgasms, multiple orgasms, and so on.
In the movie, the concept of "living (in) the here and now" is one that really hit home for me-- especially after Saturday's chat. I won't go into great detail on what occurred - suffice it to say someone said something that really upset me and brought back awful memories of another person telling me to stop talking. Most of my young life I kept quiet about what was happening to me and kept it to myself about being abused.
Now, it is not anyone's fault per se, just that this one lil matter seemed to be the one that tipped over my bucket of "awfulness" that I had been feeling the past month. I am not sure if anyone can relate or not-- but it is knowing that you don't feel 'like yourself' at all but can't quite put a name to it.
Had this person and I had more time to ourselves to work it out the matter would have gotten resolved amongst the 2 of us.
*sighs -- oh well , all said and done I guess.
I could go on and on about this, but I am instead letting it go and putting my focus and energies into the upcoming Family Constellation and my next counseling appointment after.
